Extreme Music Monday: S.C.A.T

Welcome to this Monday’s Post Extreme Music Monday featuring the Music of the Band S.K.A.T along with Any and All Information We could Gather on Them. S.C.A.T is a Goregrind Band formed in the Western Part of Russia known as Bryansk in the Summer of 2006. It’s Reported that at First there were some initial Problems with the Band’s Line Up or Moreover the Band Members, but Sadly there is No Elaboration on what the fuck the Alleged Problems were. In 2008 the Band began Actual Active Rehearsals in spite of the Band being Formed 2 whole fucking Years Earlier, and also at this time S.C.A.T began Playing Local Shows in the Summer-Autumn of 2008. S.C.A.T’s first EP “Kill the Swine!” was Recorded and Self Released by S.C.A.T in the Beginning of 2009.

In the Beginning of 2009 the Band’s Original Vocalist Karlos Santana was Replaced by Lead Vocalist FeFe who Added more Sick Ideas to the Music as well as S.C.A.T’s Live Shows. The Band spent most of 2009  Touring Exclusively in Russia and the Ukraine Playing Live Shows and Countless Festivals. In the Summer of 2009 S.C.A.T went to the Studio to Record “Stench of Corpse Anal Tract”, and in the End of 2009 the Recording was Released as a 2-Way Split CD with the Band CHOKED BY OWN VOMIT.

Goonlord – Caveman (Official Video)

Mondays are a Motherfucking Pain in the Ass so it seemed fucking Appropriate to Post this Considering the Extreme Frustration Surrounding this Post. This FYB Monday is the Official Animated Music Video for the Song “Caveman” by the Death Metal Band known as Goonlord. In a Cool Collaboration the “Caveman” Video was Animated by Non Other then a Recent Favorite of Ours Creeptoons.

Now this is the fucking Frustrating Part of this Post was/is the Lack of Available Information. Allow Me to Explain What I’m Talking about. First Off when You fucking Type Goonlord into a fucking Search Engine it Responds with “Did You Mean Goodlord?” which I damn well didn’t. I don’t know Who the fuck or What the fuck Goodlord is, but it sounds like a Christian Organization and after this Post I fucking Hate Them. I also Check Numerous Websites and Music Platforms and Here is What I Found which isn’t a Hell of a Lot.

  • Creeptoon’s Once Described His Work as “Creeptoons are Disgusting, Loveable Monsters that Live in the Clogged Arteries of Your Imagination.
  • The Closest thing to Anything Personal is Creeptoons refers to/ Describes Himself with just one fucking Word: Artist.

I think the Reason for the Horrendous Lack of Information is Perpetrated by Creeptoons Himself. Remember Kiddies there Artist Who are the Acceptation to the Rule. There Some Artist who are Honestly all about Their Art, and have No Interest in Being Famous or the Hassles that come with it. The Artists want to get Their Art Out there but Don’t want to go out in Public and Get Swarmed with People Badgering Them for Autographs or Picture. It was No Secret that Kurt Cobain for an Example Struggled with Fame and it made Him fucking Miserable. Also there Artists that to Avoid a Kurt Cobain Scenario go to Great Lengths to Keep Their Anonymity like Banksy or Sia for Example. I fully Believe Creeptoons is one of these Artists that wants His Work to Speak for Itself and Keep His Private Life Well Just that Private.

The Jesus Twins – God Come Down Here

Well it’s no secret that I’m a long time fan of Howard Stern and as such I was listening to an old episode of The Howard Stern Show the other day on Sirius Xm. I have Sirius for one reason and his name is Howard Stern. What? I told you I was a fan did you doubt me because that wasn’t wise.

In this episode of The Howard Stern Show fan and frequent guest actor Micheal Rapaport was coming in for an interview so I was rather psyched since I’m a fan of Rapaport too. The fucked up thing was when he showed up for the scheduled interview Rapaport showed up with The Jesus Twins in Tow. Howard by this time was rather familiar with The Jesus Twins, but still had to ask Rapaport why he brought them with him. Rapaport answered simply that The Jesus Twins were far more interesting than anything he had to say. Howard and Rapaport discuss The Jesus Twins for a few minutes, and lead to The Jesus Twins preforming a live acoustic version of their song “God Come Down Here”. I didn’t know much of anything about The Jesus Twins other then they were some seriously fucking weird musical fringe duo, but after hearing them play “God Come Down Here” I was hooked like a motherfucker. I hadn’t EVER heard anything fucking like it before in my life and I honestly became a fan on the spot.

I started to research the some what mysterious Jesus Twins and unfortunately didn’t find out a whole hell of a lot. That’s the problem with niche bands is the total lack of exposure in the mainstream music industry which insanely inhibits the band/artist’s exposure. Think about it a minute that all we know of musicians (and other famous fuckers) is from interviews, critical reviews, and biographies/autobiographies. You limit or remove those aspects then you can see what the fuck I’m dealing with when it comes to this kind of research shit. Anyways without further ado here is what I found out about The Jesus Twins after scraping and scouring the fucking internet.

The Jesus Twins

  • The Jesus Twins were an obscure, virtually unknown and unsigned independent fringe musical duo active from 1997-2004.
  • The Jesus Twins was a pair of identical twin brothers Eric Lewis and Jeffrey Brian Liebowitz.
  • Both of the The Jesus Twins are manic depressive and in addition to that Eric also suffered from Bi-Polar Disorder.
  • The Jesus Twins had an inexperienced manager named John Mendelsohn who the Twins treated with utter and total distain.
  • In 1997 The Jesus Twins gained notoriety for crashing the Jay Leno Show.
  • Also in 1997 The Jesus Twins garnered more notoriety when they forced their way onto the Howard Stern Show. The Twins demanded Stern recall every copy of the soundtrack to his movie “Private Parts” so their song Feel My Ubiquity could be included on it.
  • The Jesus Twins muscling their way onto The Howard Stern Show was aired on television and is one of the most popular Stern show segments of all time.

  • The Jesus Twins made several subsequent appearances on Stern’s radio Show over the following years.
  • In 2001 The Jesus Twins released their song “God Come Down Here” as a protest against California’s “Three Strikes Law”. The release was accompanied by yet another completely bizarre appearance on The Howard Stern Show. The appearance included a manic Eric cutting his hand while punching a glass picture frame.
  • The Jesus Twins musical style is considered to be “Outsider”.
  • Outsider music is songs and compositions by musicians who are not part of the commercial music industry. They write songs that ignore standard musical or lyrical conventions, either because they have no formal training or because they disagree with formal rules. Outsider music is often bizarre and emotionally stark in nature.

                   

  • The Jesus Twins music actually displayed good production value which is rare in the outsider genre.
  • The Jesus Twins music has been described as “an unfashionable street-informed soul funk sound (which I totally fucking disagree with. They were outsider musicians plain and simple nothing more and nothing less) with wordy melodramatic lyrics.
  • The Jesus Twins songs were accompanied by frantic and frenzied synchronized dancing by the Twins.
  • Tragically on August 5th 2008 while suffering a manic episode Eric Lewis Liebowitz was shot and killed by a Los Angeles police officer.

Welcome to FYB’s Latest Music Post where We Answer the Question “What Do You Get when You Mix Legendary Death Metal Band Cannibal Corpse,  Cheech & Chong, Love of Horror Movies, and Low Brow Humor? The Answer is CANNABIS CORPSE!!! The Band’s Name is a Parody of the Aforementioned Death Metal Pioneers Cannibal Corpse, But Don’t be Mistaken  Cannabis Corpse plays 100% Original Songs. Along with Band’s Name Cannabis Corpse’s Album/Song Titles are also Parodies of Many Other Assorted Death Metal Band’s Album/Song Titles. The Band has Featured or Currently Features Members of the Bands GWAR, Six Feet Under, Municipal Waste, Antietam 1862, and The Black Dalia Murders.

The Name Cannabis Corpse was Coined in 1999 by Brothers Phillip “Landphil” and Josh “Hallhammer” Hall. It Wasn’t Until 2006 when the Hall Brothers Recorded a Demo along with Any “Weedgrinder” Horn that Cannabis Corpse became a Reality. Cannabis Corpse’s Demo would go on to Eventually become Their Debut Album Blunted at Birth. Soon after Their Demo Release Cannabis Corpse was signed as the First Band to Forcefield Records. It Helped that The Founders of Forcefield where Personal Friends of the Band, and are also Based in Richmond, Virginia.

Indonesian Black Metal

Welcome to Today’s Late FYB Post which I am Glad to Say is Another Music Post Which I always find More than Interesting to Do. This Story Starts when a Couple of Days Ago I was fucking around Online as I’m known to do, and I was browsing Different Kinds of gifs for a Current Project. I came across One that Caught My Eye and Upon Further Inspection I noticed it was Tagged at the Bottom where it simply read “Indonesian Black Metal”.  This instantly Perked My Interest as I am a Big fucking Fan of the Black Metal Genre, but for the Life of Me the Fact there was a Black Metal Scene in Indonesia was a complete Mindfucker. Black Metal was created in Scandinavia where it then Seeped into Europe and Eventually found its way to America so Indonesia is a bit off the Beaten Path as it were.

Thus Started My Journey into Indonesian Black Metal. The Most Infuriatingly Frustrating Problem is when I’m researching a Niche and/or Obscure Band Information can be Hard to Locate. Now Add to the Equation that the Band(s)/Musician is from a Foreign Country it makes it that much Harder (Example: The Satan Panonski Post). With that Said in All Honesty Collecting Information for this Post was the Most fucking Difficult out of ANY Music Post I’ve Done thus Far. First Off there was the Obvious Problem with Translations since Any Information was Either in or Translated from Indonesian (Referred to Locally as Bahasa Indonesian). As for the Information I hunted down that had been Translated had be Translated Badly, and were the Shittiest of Shitty Translations I have ever Experienced. There were the Usual Problems like the Information was Wrought with Spelling and Grammatical Mistakes, and the Translations looked as if They were Written by an Actual Lunatic. The Basic Sentence Structure wasn’t Written in Broken English it was Written in Totally Butchered English that was almost Beyond Belief. The Other Odd Factor was the Band I selected to Showcase had Unlike America (Or Other Countries) The Band had Done Next to NO PRESS Whatsoever I tried to Locate Interviews be They Print, Online, Radio, Television Etc. and Came Up with Virtually Nothing to Speak of.

So All This Considered I Decided to Go with the Most Prominent and  Well Known Indonesian Black Metal called SANTET. The Following is All the Pertinent Information I managed to Scrounge Up So Here We Go.

SANTET: 

  • Was Formed in Purwokerto, Central Java, Indonesia.
  • In 1993 the Band (Under a Different Band Name) became a Force to be Reckoned with in the Underground Music Scene for Preforming Death Metal.
  • On May 5, 1997 The Band Changed Their Name to SANTET when They Decided to change Their Death Metal Concept to Straight Up Black Metal.
  • The Name SANTET Means: Inhuman Spiritual Black Magic From Java Ethics, a Kind of Killing Helped by Spells and a Demon’s Flame.
  • Frontman Budi Blackustadz formed the Band with Original and Former Member Rudi Hailstorm.
  • SANTET’s Form of Black Metal is Called Javanese Black Metal.
  • SANTET Tours Heavily in Java and Other Parts of Indonesia.
  • SANTET Released Their Debut Album “Creatures of the Darkness” in January of 1998.
  • SANTET did a Split Album with the Gothic Doom Band Drosophila From Yogyakerta that was a Massive Hit. The Album Sold Out in Indonesia as well as Other Countries and Continues to Gain Popularity to this Day.
  • SANTET has Taken Part in a Vast Number of Compilation Albums In or Outside of Indonesia like Their Track “Roh Roworhonteck” off the Black Metal Compilation Album Metalik Klinik Vol. 3.

Welcome to FYB’s Wednesday Post which We are Exceptionally Psyched About to Say the Least. You may or in all do Favor May Not have Noticed We have Mentioned a Musician Known as C Nobody. Though at the Same Time We haven’t Provided any Additional Information as it were (Especially  since We have an FYB Category called Music/Musician).

Well that Changes as of Right fucking Now.

C Nobody is an Extremely Talented Up and Coming Independent Rapper Based Out of Chicago Illinois Who’s Music is Authentic and Doesn’t Pull Any Punches. C Nobody wears His Heart on His Sleeve Unapologetically while He Writes and Rap’s about Personal Experiences instead of the Usual Drivel that People have become Accustomed to Nowadays. All The Mainstream Commercial Rappers all Sound and Look the fucking Same. It’s Almost as If They’re being Manufactured in a Hollywood Music Factory like So Many Clones.  It seems Individuality  has become Alien in a World were the Only Asinine Topics Mainstream Rapper’s Rap about is Limited to Cash, Women, Luxury Cars, Mansions with Pools filled with Models, and a “HEY EVERYONE LOOK AT ME! I’M THE GREATEST THING ON EARTH!” Mentality.  Meanwhile C Nobody uses His Music to Exorcise His Demons, Promote Education about Mental Health Issues, As Therapy in a Society that’s Gone Insane, and to Connect with His Growing Fan Base Letting Them Know They’re Not Alone in the World. C Nobody is Intensely Passionate about His Craft, and is Working Constantly to Improve it while Personally Interacting with His Audience.

Two Weeks Ago C Nobody Started the Promotion of His Latest Track BRUTAL HONESTY which He Planned to Release on Cinco De Mayo which of course was Yesterday (and had been an Unmitigated Success Out Preforming His Previous Tracks to Date). I listen to Brutal Honesty for the First Time (I can’t begin to tell You how many Times I have Listened to it Subsequently) Yesterday while I was Ironically Working on FYB. When Brutal Honesty started it I immediately Sat Up and Took Notice as The Creepy Intro reminds Me of something Out of a Horror Movie. Then C Nobody started Rapping and I Stopped what I was doing Dead in MyTracks, Logged Off FYB, and Shut Down My Laptop as I was completely Enthralled with the Song. To be Truthful I almost Exclusively Listen to Extreme Niche Musical Genres like Death/Black Metal, Grindcore, Underground Punk, Hardcore, Deathcore, and Horrorcore (More Over Brutal Australian Horrorcore such as Suicidal Rap Orgy, Passenger of Shit, and MC Cumblood to Name a Few). So the Fact I had the Same Musical Connection to a Rap Song surprised ME as Much as Anyone Else that’s sure as Shit. If I wasn’t a C Nobody Fan before after Listening to BRUTAL HONESTY I definitely a Full Blown Fan Lock, Stock, and Barrel.
