Welcome to Today’s FYB Post featuring the Official Video for the Song Why You Never Became A Dancer by the British Band named Whitehouse. So Who the fuck are/was Whitehouse and Why should Anyone Care? Valid Questions for Sure so here is the Backstory of Whitehouse.

Whitehouse was formed in England in 1980 and the Group is Largely credited for Founding and Pioneering the Power Electronics Genre of Music. The Band is Also Credited with Developing the Genre of Music Known as Noisecore or as it was Originally Know as Noise Music (Yeah Pretty fucking Original), and the Band is Credited for Developing Noisecore in America, England, and Japan. Power Electronics is a Offshoot of Noisecore that typically consists of Static, Screeching Feedback, Analogue Synthesizers making Sub-Base Pulses or High Frequency Squealing Sounds. Some but Not All Noisecore Songs have “Lyrics” that are Heavily Distorted, Screamed, or Guttural Vocalizations. Meanwhile Noisecore for those Unfamiliar is a Niche Genre of Music Characterized by the Expressive use of Noise within a Musical Context.  Noisecore tends to Challenge the Distinction between Musical and Non-Musical Sound. The Band Emerged when Early Industrial Acts that had Heavily Influenced Power Electronics/ Noisecore like THROBBING GRISTLE were backing Away from Extreme Noise. Meanwhile Whitehouse wanted to take Their Fascination with Early Industrial Groups’ Sound and Extreme Subject Matter even Further.

The Band’s Name is Meant as a Mock Tribute to Mary Whitehouse who was a British Morality Campaigner and a Hard-Line Conservative Activist. She Campaigned against Social Liberalism and the Mainstream British Media (Both of Which She Accused of Encouraging a More Permissive Society. That’s Not all as the Band’s Name a Reference to a British Porn Magazine. The Founding Member and Only Sole Constant in the Band William Bennett was Quoted as Saying “I Often Fantasized about creating a Sound that could Bludgeon an Audience into Submission.” , and that His Goal was to Produce “The Most Extreme Music Ever Recorded.”Whitehouse referred to Their Sound as “Extreme Electronic Music” that was Known for its Controversial and Obscene Lyrics and Imagery. The Band’s Lyrics/Imagery Portrayed:

  • Sadistic Sex
  • Misogyny
  • Serial Murder
  • Eating Disorders
  • Child Abuse
  • Extreme Violence in All Forms
  • Neo-Nazi Fetishism

Bennett released His First Album Under the Whitehouse Name in 1980 called Birthdeath Experience that was Released on Bennett’s Own Come Organization Label, and was Immediately followed by the Album Total Sex. In 1981 Bennett released the Album Erector that was Pressed on Red Vinyl, Packaged in a Shiny Black Packaging, and included a Photocopied Picture of a Penis. The Group Started Playing Live Shows in 1982 with Members William Bennett (Whitehouse), Andrew McKenzie (of the Band THE HAFLER TRIO), Steven Stapleton from the Band NURSE WITH WOUND, and Philip Best Who Joined in 1982 After Running away from Home at the Age of 14, and has been an On again/ Off Again Member ever since. Whitehouse was Inactive for the second half of the 1980’s and Re-emerged in 1990 wit the Album “Thank Your Lucky Stars”. During the 1990’s Whitehouse had Stable Line up in Bennett, Best, and Writer Peter Sotos (Sotos Left the Group in 2002). Bennett Decided to Terminate Whitehouse in 2008 to Focus on His Cut Hands Project which was its Music that was Heavily Inspired by African and Haitian Voodoo Music, being Very Rhythmic and Percussion Based.

Welcome to Today’s FYB Post I KNOW I’M A FOOL By Content Creator know as Burden. Burden Claims Their Work as “For those who are no longer human. For those who can’t relate. Videos range from unruly despair to unrecognized rage. Deprived Visions.” Who or Whom Burden is remains to be seen, but Here’s a would be Rundown of this Obscure Channel. Burden is a Small Channel that has a Collection of Strange/Unexplained/Mysterious Videos that could Possibly be an ARG, an Art Project, Gorilla Advertising, or Just the Crazy fucking shit Spewing from Someone Who forgot to take Their fucking Medication. We Don’t give a Fuck if Burden is Actually Ingenious or Absolutely Insane, But We fucking Do Enjoy Their Work a Good Bit that’s for Sure.

I KNOW I’M A FOOL basically can be Broken Down into 3 Parts The Beginning, The Middle, and Yeah the fucking End. The Beginning showcases Gothic Themes like it was Filmed in Some fucking Graveyard somewhere it’s just Painfully Cliche is all (it SERIOUSLY reminds Us of a Countless Number of Student Art Films/Projects is All). The Audio is Much More interesting as it’s Narrated by What Sounds like an Old British Man Who Sounds like He is Waxing Poetically during what could be a Lecture of Some sort on Life Lessons or fucking Philosophy on the Human Condition but We don’t rightfully fucking Know.

The Middle is Black and White Footage of What Appears to be a Woman on a fucking Bus as if She was on a Security Camera because the Distorted Footage is Reminiscent of Something Recored on/by CCTV. Then Following that There is Rather Random Stock Footage of Old Historical Trains with Coal Burning Steam Locomotives at the Helm. For Once in One of these Weird fucking Fringe Videos the Audio ACTUALLY fucking Matches the Visual as during the Train Footage the Audi is just a Recording of the Industrial Sounds of a Moving Train. The Trains Aren’t Passenger Trains as there No Passenger Cars or at Least We Didn’t fucking See any and We watched this Shit Over and Over So there’s That. These Trains Appear to be Freight Trains with Box/Stock Cars (The Train Cars that fucking Hobo’s Used to Hitch a Ride on)

The Final or Ending Part of the Video is a Simple fucking Visual of a Blue fucking Sky and fucking White Clouds that Sort of Blurry Together over Time. The Audio is the Old British Bastard but this Time around there is a Distinct fucking Echo wherever He’s Speaking. We instantly;y Associated the Echo with a Cathedral or Extremely Large Church as if this Guy is Delivering a fucking Sunday Sermon or some shit though God, Jesus, or Specific Religion is NOT MENTIONED OR REFERENCED. And for that We are more than fucking Grateful because NOTHING fucks Up a Potentially Bad Ass Video than Religious Preaching, Testifying, Promotion, Rhetoric, or Fanaticism. Best to Leave Religion Well Out of It because Honestly if there is a God We’re Sure He/She/It Could Care fucking Less about it.

Welcome to Today’s FYB Post featuring THIS VIDEO CURSED US by London Based Writer, Director, Visual Artist, and Computer Animator Ben Wheele in a Tribute to Another One of His Videos Called His HENRY EATS (Which We have Posted Here on FYB Previously).

So Who the Fuck is the Deal with Ben Wheele?! Wheele Graduated from The Royal Collage of Art with a Masters in Animation  in 2011, and His Films have been Screened at Festivals Internationally, Including Annecy, Pictoplasma, London Intl.Animation Festival, Rotterdam Film Festival and Stuttgart ITFS. Wheele’s work has also been Exhibited at The Sunday Painter Gallery (London), Gazell.io Digital Art Space, and Broadcast on Adult Swim and Channel 4 (UK). He is also the Founder of ‘Studio Ponk’ and Currently Lectures in 3D Animation and Games at Middlesex University.

       

Description:

“Henry peered underneath the regular videos. He discovered a deep recess beneath all of the channels, a vast chasm. Inside was a network of connected antechambers.

It was very dark here. The air felt wet. He pressed save and downloaded the video. Then saved a bookmark, just to be safe – he wanted to find this place again. His generator didn’t have much diesel left. In fact, he hadn’t filled it for months. How was he still receiving power out here?

He looked out of the window. The woods offered no reply.”

Synopsis: First of All the Video is of the Main Character Henry from the Previous “Henry Eats” Video. Henry is sitting in the Pitch Black on His Computer where He apparently checking out a YouTube like Platform where He stumbles across a Compilation of Reaction Videos Titled “THIS VIDEO CURSED US”. The Video “THIS VIDEO CURSED US” is in Fact a Collection of Reaction Videos of YouTubers Reacting to the Video “Henry Eats”.

“THIS VIDEO CURSED US” appears to be a Commentary on Certain Click Bait Content that Runs Rampant on Video Platforms like YouTube for Example. The Title is a Play on the Over Hyped Click Bait Video Genre “FOUND ON THE DARK WEB!!” Sensationalism where People Over Act in Shock and Awe as They react to Some Mysterious Unexplained New Horror from the Depraved Depths of the Dark Web. Also People have a Tendency when They Don’t Understand Something or Think its Not Normal then They Immediately Label it “CURSED!!” Out of Nothing but Pure fucking Ignorance (and Over Hyped Titles Aimed at Nothing but Getting Views).

So the Main Question is What is the Point of the Video if there Even is Actually One to Begin with. It seems to be Either a Stark Anti-Click Bait Commentary calling Out Reaction Videos. I mean let’s fucking Face it Reaction Videos are fucking Pure Garbage They’re Brainless Bullshit where YouTubers Over Act for the Camera with Grossly Exaggerated Reactions such as Shock, Awe, Disgust, or Fear. I personally think it’s a Commentary by Wheele pertaining to People attempting to Understand,  Interpret, and Speculate on the Intent, Purpose, or Meaning of His Now Notorious Video “Henry Eats” which is Pretty Sucking Surreally Abstract in Nature. Bottom-line is the Simplistic Fact is that Artists in General Enjoy Hearing about How Others Perceive Their Work.

He is known for His Surreal, Creepy, and Bizarre Short Web Animations with the Frequent Use of the Droste Effect, and Features Original Dance/Electronic Music By Harris as Well.

Short Horror Film Friday: Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared

Welcome to Another Installment of Short Horror Film Friday featuring the Surreal British Cult Comedy Horror Web Series DON’T HUG ME I’M SCARED . The Web Series was Created by British Filmmakers, Graphic Designers, Artists, and Animators Becky Sloan and Joseph Pelling. DHMIS Consists of 6 Episodes, Released from July 29, 2011 to June 19, 2016 through The Artists’ Website, YouTube, and Vimo. Every Episode of DHMIS Utilizes Live Actors in Costume, Anthropomorphic Puppets, Traditional Animation, Stop Motion, and Computer Animation to Tell Each Story in the Series.

Each Episode Revolves around Yellow Guy (and His Father Roy Gibbleston), Red Guy and Duck Guy meeting One or Several Anthropomorphic CHaracters, Who begin a Musical Number related to a Basic Concept of Day-To-Day Life complete with an Upbeat Melody similar to that of a Nursery Rhyme. As Each Song progresses, it becomes Apparent that its Moral/Message is Nonsensical or Self-Contradicting, and that the “Teacher” Character has an Sinister Ulterior Motives. The Climax of each Episode Typically Involves GRAPHIC VIOLENCE, BLOOD SHED, GORE, OR PSYCHOLOGICAL HORROR!!! Later int he Series, the CHaracters begin to Questioning the NAture of Their Reality and the Bizarre Messages of the Teachers.

Short Horror Film Friday: NO THROUGH ROAD 3

Welcome to Another Installment of Short Horror Film Friday Fraturing NO THROUGH ROAD 3! To Anyone Who thought the Text at the End of NO THROUGH ROAD 2 was Foreshadowing for a Third FIlm in the Series Congratulations You were Absolutely Correct.

We have already Posted the Original No Through Road 1 and 2 in a Previous Installments of Short Horror Film Friday, and were Thrilled to Learn that a Third Film had in fact been Made. We Highly recommend You Go watch No Road Through 1 and 2   First before Watching the Third Film so that You’re Not Confused as to what the Hell is Happening in NO THROUGH ROAD 3.

So Far We haven’t been able (and Not for a Lack of Trying I assure You) find out Exactly WHO made  the No Through Road Trilogy. The Closest thing to any real Information is that the Film was made by a Group of British Teenagers, But this has yet to be Confirmed. Now NO ROAD THROUGH 3 is by Far the Shortest of the Three Films Clocking in with a Running Time of a Mere 2 Minutes and 35 Seconds (In Comparison the Previous Two No Road Through Films have Running Times of 10 Minutes and Change).

Premise: James, Cameraman Dave, and a still visibly Shaken Steven are still Trapped Driving in an Endless Loop in the Middle of Nowhere without any Cell Service. They have apparently been  Driving in Vain for a While since the Sun has Set and the Teens find Themselves Once Again Driving in the All Encompassing Dark of Night. This only Serves to Complicate things for the Boys in Their Attempts to Escape and Return Home Safely. Finally out of Pure Frustration the Boys turn right at the Street Sign for Bennington when They pass the Sign for it for the Umpteeth Time. The Boys Figure it’s Their Only Option at this Point for Possibly Escaping the Dire  Situation  They are In though They aren’t Happy about it in the Least. Unfortunately just After Turning Down Bennington the Boys Encounter The Ominous Man in a Mask Once Again. The Boys more Terrified than Ever bring the Car to a Dead Stop at the Sight of the Man in the Mask. Meanwhile The Man in the Mask Stands unyielding in the Road Blocking The Boys  Path, and  Waiting for the Them  to make Their Move.
