Lee Jonitis: Professional People Watcher (42/365)

“Here We are Home at Last!”, said Dizzy Joyfully, “Watch Your Step till I get some Light going.”

Dizzy fumbled with the Lock for a good 3-4 minutes jiggling the Handle and Key alike while Pushing and Pulling at the Door waiting for it to Comply and allow Them Entry. Lee noted the Door was an Actual Antique being made out of Solid Oak Not the Cheap Composite Board Ikea Crap. There was No Cutting Corners for Whoever the Craftsman was who made this Door using Creativity, Determination, Skill, and a whole hell of a lot of Elbow Grease.

You could see the Door was well Worn by Years of Being Opened, Closed, Slammed Shut, Knocked On, Kicked, Swung Open, and the General Test of Time Itself. It showed it Battle Wounds No matter how many Layers of Paint  (currently the Door had been Painted a Shitty Shade of Green that resembled the Color of an Old Bowl of Split Pea Soup) Coated it You could still see all the Scratches, Gauges, and Dings the Door had Endured Throughout the Many Years of Service.

       

Lee couldn’t help but think of How some of the Crappiest Places on Earth could still Hold on to Treasures of Times like the Oak Door. Lee thought it was a Tragedy of Society that Millennials had No Concept of Quality as They were a Part of the New so called “Throw Away Culture.” Back not to Long ago When Lee was a Child Appliances such as Refrigerators and Dishwashers were Built to Last and could go 10 Plus Years before One needed to even consider Replacing it.

Lee believed fully that Capitalism had Cannibalized the Consumer as They Monitized Every Facset of Human Life.Today Products like Appliances and Furniture are so Cheaply Made (as to Keep Profits High as Possible mind You) its designed to Crap out on You. Appliances have a Average Usage Life or approximately 5 Years. The Mass Produced Ikea Furniture thats all the Rage Breaks or Falls Apart in No Time Flat. So in by the End of Your Life Millennia’s will have been Financially Raped into Replacing Products Several Times or More while Wasting a Small Fortune in the Process. Capitalism has Bastardized the word Disposable Lee thought from Paper Plates to Include Any and Every Product You can find in Your Home.  Capitalism has Consumed the Consumer Lee though in utter Disgust and Great Contempt.

       

The same was with the Classic American Hand Made Furniture made by Artisans Who were Truly Masters of Their Craft. Dinning Room Sets, Bed Room Sets, Chairs, Hutches, China Cabinets were Made to Last up, and can up to or Over 100 fucking Years. Antique Furniture had/has Personality since it was Made By Craftsman’s Hands, and Not made of Cheap Flimsy Materials as They’re Mass Produced on a fucking Assembly Line in some fucking Factory. Just another innocuous Production Plants Pumping Out Product as Fast as Humanly Possible with No regard to Quality Nor Aesthetics. Lee couldn’t get His head around it. Why would anyone Settle for Connivence over a Crap Load of Cash?!

Now a days Millennials are completely Oblivious to the Fact Their Ignorance is being Exploited like a Son of a Bitch as They are completely Blinded by Advertising, and Brainwashed By Consumerism. They use something then the Sub Par Piece of Shit Breaks, and They just go Out and Spend more Money replacing it. Instead of Wondering Why the hell They are Wasting so much Money Unnecessarily Millennials just Shrug, assume thats “Just the Way it Is”, and Fork Over Fistfuls of Cash for Shoddy Craftsmanship and Cut Rate Materials. Lee thought of it as if Someone came up to You and asked if You’d like to by some crap at Their Yard Sale which most Everyone wouldn’t, BUT They were doing exactly that every time They bought shit for there Homes like Poorly constructed Furniture or Second Rate Appliances/Electronics.

       

“Are You going to come in or Wait to be Mugged in the Hallway?!” Dizzy asked having already Vanished into the Cloak of Darkness that Enshrouded His Apartment.

“Yeah I coming since I don’t feel the need to be Sexually Assaulted in the Stair Well by some Bastard on Bath Salts.” replied Lee in a Bitter Half Joking tone of Voice.

Hospitals: PAY OR DIE.

In my various Medical past have long ranted, raged, rioted, and railed against the current American Medical Capitalist Shit Show singling out Doctors as the biggest offenders.

I was wrong. I admit it. I was wrong.

The Biggest offender in the Medical Game is actually HOSPITALS.

It comes down to the Lesser of 2 evils. The System or Cycle of Abuse’s structure remains the same. That is BOTH Doctors and Hospitals exploit the Health Insurance companies. While they do this their all thinking:

“Well it doesn’t hurt anyone and these are Billion Dollar Corporation’s Cash we’re taking.”

What the Doctor’s and Hospitals forgot that in return for their financial exploitation the Insurance Companies turned right around and took it out on the Customers.

The Insurance Companies:

They Raised Deductibles.

They Raised Their Rates of Service.

They flat out Denied People Coverage period.

They tried to fuck people over with bullshit like Pre Existing Conditions.

WORST of all the Health Insurance Companies started denying more and more and more claims leaving their customers high and dry.

The Hospitals started to Monetize EVERY FUCKING THING.

A Prime Example of this is: The average cost of a Hospital room is $1,000 to $1,200 a Day. Thats just for the room. It doesn’t include any and all actual Medical Care such as Blood Work, Meals, Medicines, Diagnostic Tests, Surgeries etc. Its LITERALLY FOR JUST BEING THERE.

That Makes Hospitals the World’s most Expensive and yet at the same time Totally Fucking Shitty Hotel.

Another example of Hospitals gross greed is my Medical Bill from my Hospital was 6 Fucking Figures, and even before I was discharged I had 2 fucking Women from the Billing Department in my room demanding to know how the Hospital was getting paid, and if we could come up with $15,ooo deposit by the end of the day (they showed up at 4:30 on a fucking Friday so talk about last fucking minute.) being the Money Hungry Whores.

The Hospital fucked up my admission paper work, and didn’t check off that I had Insurance. I can’t actually blame them I was a fucking horror show by the time I arrived at the Hospital. Not to mention They showed up at 4:30 on a fucking Friday the stupid twats so talk about last fucking minute.

Just My shitty luck I had the pleasure of have yet a second fucking surgery this year (FUCK 2018!) and had a very unusual new experience.

This is how it all went down. The Hospital told me on the day I scheduled the Procedure that as part of Their customer service I would receive a phone call from them. The point of the phone call I was initially told was to expedite the tedious admission process (this was ironically to help ease the patients possible stress/fear/anxiety about the upcoming Surgery.

I received the aforementioned pre admission check in phone call at 9:00 am THE DAY BEFORE THE PROCEDURE. (you’ll see why thats key as well as I said ironic here in a minute)

The pleasant Woman on the phone introduced herself and we started the process as it were. She asked me My Name, Address, and if I had Insurance. That was it.

Usually they also ask shit like “Are you Allergic to any Medications?” and “Do You Take Any Medication Currently?”, “IS there a history of some particular disease (like cancer or diabetes etc.) run in your family”, “Have you been Hospitalized in the last 5 years?” and all that pertinent medical shit.

Right then I had a feeling things were about to get real fucked up and fast. This obviously was some sort of fucking ruse. This wasn’t some sort of Curtesy this was a New Beast all together.

The Woman told me (that the Hospital) had already whipped up an approximate bill, and that the cost would be $28,029.63 which seems pretty fucking on point for a fucking estimate. She then immediately wanted to know how I planned to pay.

As soon as I said that yes I did in fact have Insurance that when things became blatantly obvious. She then asked What Company and then asked for My Policy Number.

After that She asked Me to please hold on a second. Apparently the Hospital has some fucking Software or fucking Alga Rhythm that She ran the Estimated Bill to hypothetical see how much My Insurance would approximately cover.

She then informed me I had “Out of Pocket Expenses” to the tune of $2,500, and could I possibly pay it in full right then and there. I was quite pissed off.

I told this Woman that I scheduled the Procedure 6 goddamn weeks ago, and they decide to call me the DAY BEFORE THE SURGERY, and harass the the holy hell out of me for as much money as fucking humanly possible. Surprisingly the Woman acted the Bitch and din’t even acknowledge my previous statement.

I told her I wasn’t going to give them a fucking dime, and I did’t appreciate the greedy bastards demanding money BEFORE DOING A DAMN THING. I informed her I was going to contact My insurance company as soon as I hung up with her which I promptly did.

I called My Insurance Company and explained what the hell had just happened. I told the Customer Representative I was confused. She told me she had never heard of such a phone call before (and she has been working in the Health Insurance Field for 26 fucking years)

She went on to explain that the Hospital can’t bill me for shit since they hadn’t submitted an itemized bill to them. I reminded her that the Woman I spoke with acted like if I busted out My Credit Card she would have gladly taken the payment on the spot. To which the Insurance Lady said that it sounded like they calculated what I might owe due to Out of Pocket Expenses. Which Ironically I was informed was $1,300 which is $1,200 LESS THAN THE HOSPITAL WOMAN TRIED TO BILL ME FORM/COLLECT.

I then inquired to what the fuck Out of Pocket expenses were since I was a customer of theirs and had met My Deductible many, many months ago. I was then educated a bit more in the corrupt World of Health Insurance Companies.

Even though I had indeed met My normal deductible the Insurance Company had My Second Surgery categorized in such a way that I had this “Out of Pocket” bullshit or in reality it was a second and separate Deductible. Health Insurance Companies are a fucking Scam run by Greedy fucking Big Businesses that are People for Profit.

So in conclusion in spite of their Sunny Advertisements or in Hospital Poster Propaganda (with Happy Babies, Smiling Senior Citizens, Confident Doctors and al the usual Hospital hype) absolutely and totally

DON’T GIVE A FLYING FUCK ABOUT PATIENTS. They are SOLEY FOR PROFIT BIG BUSINESSES.

When It Comes to Modern Medicine its simple PAY OR SUFFER/DIE.

America’s Social Problems: The Sickness of a Dying Nation

What are the top 10 American social problems in my opinion?

They Are:
1. What The war in the middle East
2. Police corruption
3. Financial inequality
4. Out sourcing jobs
5. The legal system
6. The media
7. The healthcare system
8. The Pharmaceutical industry
9. The Prison system
10. The war on drugs

I will briefly summarize my reasoning behind the issues on the aforementioned list in no particular order. I believe them all to be extremely problematic and detriment to American society none being any more or less than the others.

The number one thing that baffles me to no fucking end is America has been at War in Afghanistan from 2001-2014 and less than a year after the 9/11 terror attacks America forgot about. It was like with previous war such as WWI and WWII where America rallied together as a nation against evil and all that shit. Nor was it like the Vietnam war where ACTUAL BATTLE COVERAGE was shown on the nightly news. The media just transitioned back into ignorant oblivion. Not only that but America was at war with Iraq at the EXACT SAME TIME, SIMULTANEOUS FUCKING WARS. IS that all, NOPE. America was involved in the Libyan Cicil War in 2011 in Libya.  America ALSO is currently at war (and has been since 2004) in North-West Pakistan, War in Afghanistan (AGAIN) 2015-Present, AND from 2014 to present America is also at War on ISIL 2014-Present in Iraq/Libya/Syria and Nigeria. My Bottomline: WHERE IS THE MEDIA COVERAGE and WHY THE HELL DON’T AMERICANS ACKNOWLEDGE THEIR COUNTRY IS STILL WARING IN THE MIDDLE EAST?! I digress for now.

When it comes to the issue of outsourcing its a doubled edged sword to say the least. While the outsourcing of American jobs created a massive nation wide unemployment crisis (that all but eliminated the American middle class.) slowly American corporations are bringing jobs back stateside. Yet while American corporations are bringing jobs back to the U.S. they are paying their employees half or less of their previous salary while working them three times as hard with few to no benefits. In the end American employees are being exploited so big companies can save on shipping costs.

All I will say on the subject of financial inequality is it has NEVER BEEN GREATER. With the near destruction of the Middle Class due to outsourcing, shitty Market, and Predatory Loans America has never come closer to being one of the 3rd world Counties we have Charity Ads for (Think “For just the price of a cup of coffee you can provide food, education and healthcare for….”) Financial Equality has also been exacerbated by the increasing commercialism of the American public for increasing profits. YOUR PAYING TO BE ALIVE. CAN YOU SAY HEALTH INSURANCE?!

The War on drugs has been and continues to be a complete undeniable failure. Even Mexico who was America’s tag team partner after 40 years admitted the war was lost mainly due to the way it was being fought. Drugs are not living things so really how the fuck do you declare war with inanimate objects so to speak?! Dealing with the addiction instead of fighting it (again declaring war upon a disease/mental disorder) We already saw alcohol prohibition not only FAIL SPECTACULARLY but also it had serious side effects like ORGANIZED CRIME because the moral to this twisted tail is PEOPLE WILL DRINK NO MATTER WHAT. It should be painfully obvious that the cliche “those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it” applies here when it comes to the war on drugs. Yet not only has the war on drugs failed so monumentally, but the Big AMERICAN Pharmaceutical Companies along with the FDA caused/created the current Opiate Addiction.

Why You Ask could this happen? Pharmaceutical companies created SYNTHESIZED MAN MADE HEROIN in many shapes and names Vicodin, Oxycontin, Percocet, Fentanyl (patches) and the FDA allowed the Consumer Market to be FLOODED with BILLIONS OF NEW PRESCRIPTIONS without fully examining or learning the problematic issue of addiction they just wanted TO CASH IN AS FAST AS POSSIBLE at the expense of the American Public. I will digress for now.

Accept the AmericanHealthcare System went for helping the sick and injured to TOTAL CAPITALIST MAKEOVER. Patients equal Profits. If you don’t have insurance RAPING YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS while providing LESS AND LESS services. Fucked Up Fact: It Costs $1,200 to $1,500 a DAY to stay in the hospital. THATS JUST FOR THE FUCKING ROOM, THE ACTUAL SPACE and Nothing Else. Hospitals started to charge for EVERYTHING and they charge it all separately. You pay for medications BY PILL hence the joke of the $11 hospital aspirin.
The social problem that I have extreme fucking difficulty examining without personal judgment is the subject of police corruption (which includes police brutality and misconduct as well as corruption and breaking ANY and All was.)
The reason I would be so judgmental on the topic of police corruption is the problem is escalating through out all 50 states of America. Police officers are being charged with planting evidence, thief/robbery, assault, rape and murder.  The COPS have BECOME the CRIMINALS. The cliche for this one is the “If you work with monsters make sure you don’t become one” saying. Thanks to the internet combined with Social Media and the prevalence of Smart Phones equipped with video cameras are exposing rampant illegal police activity increasingly on a daily basis. Also in cases where a corrupt police officer is charged with a crime up to and including murder they are put on paid leave until their court date. THATS A PAID FUCKING VACATION.

Once the police officer ends up in court the prosecutor, District Attorney and the presiding judge all weigh in on the side of the police officer resulting in the police officer being absolved of all charges and sent back to work. YOU GOT IT NO PRISON TIME THEY GET TO CO RIGHT BACK TO THEIR FUCKING JOBS. Virtually none of the corrupt police officers caught and charged with a crime(s) ever serve time in prison unless its time for a sacrificial lamb of a scape goat to “Make an example out of” when the public outrage is at a high. It actually MEANS NOTHING.

Lastly lets address the controversial subject of the  law abiding police officers (referred to as “the good cops”) who have never broken a single law protect the corrupt police officers under the accepted “Code of Silence” This meaning quite simply the good police officers will not report or assist in the prosecution of corrupt police officers no matter how egregious the charges or conduct. So I’m calling HUMONGOUS BULLSHIT THERE. Its a Real Life Get Out of Jail Free Card for corrupt cops.

When it comes to the Legal System all I will say for now anyways. When I got arrested and charged with a Felony I was lucky enough to be able to afford a lawyer with a excellent reputation and connections. The first time I met with him in his office he said the following and I will remember it to the day I fucking die:

“You have to know what where dealing with here. You see there 3 kinds of Laws and there’re Rich People Laws, White People Laws and Minority Laws.” He meant if I had been Rich I’d get off easy, White people can get in trouble, but have the benefit of the court on their side so good chance I wouldn’t serve time and if I was minority I’d be going to jail no if, ands or buts.

As far as the Prison system goes all I can say is Over crowding and inhumane conditions are ongoing problems BUT PRIVATIZING PRISONS a PRISONER FOR PROFIT system your guaranteeing peoples rights will be violated (to keep them in or send them to prison) because your not a defendant YOUR A FUTURE CLIENT/CUSTOMER. CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ITS WORST.

The Media has become a fucking farce. The media stopped doing honest and worthy reporting to cater to the ongoing moronic American Public. The Media humped on wagon with Social Media make both products shittier. Now between biased news, fake fucking news,fluff pieces and FCC it may not have been what America wanted but its what it fucking got. Reality TV was the beginning of the end of all Media. No one cares about the American GI thats killed in the ongoing War, BUT PEOPLE SHIT OVER THE FUCKING KARDASHIANS. Think about it.

America is Cannibalizing Itself replacing the Constitution with Commercialism. Your NO LONGER a citizen of the country of American, you consumer client of American Inc. LLC. The government, the Pharmaceutical companies and Big Business Corporations ARE COMMERCIALIZING EVERY ASPECT OF YOUR LIFE FOR PROFIT.

The America we all came to love is gone, there is no longer an American Dream.

Out Sourcing Becomes In Sourcing

We all are well aware allowing Large Companies and Corporations to outsource jobs to other (lets be real 3rd world counties, I mean you never see them send jobs to Europe or Asia) foreign countries champions America’s capitalist beliefs bastardized back in the 1980’s. It subsequently  utterly destroyed the American Middle Class ironically rendering America closer to a Third World Country with a severe separation gap between the poor and the rich. Anyway you look at it America’s holding on to the antiquated belief system (once again) of decades past didn’t help the already massive financial and economic shiticane that was slowly forming over the American people.

So again we all know that the reason(s) Corporations and Large Companies wanted outsourcing for one reason alone MONEY. In Third World countries you can literally pay slave wages,  provide absolutely no benefits or 401 Ks etc. you can work  the people exhausting ours, and there are virtually no labor laws to restrict medieval practices (abuses is more accurate). They didn’t  have to worry either about complaints of any kind because the people of that country are so fucking desperate they’ll eat whatever shit sandwich you serve them.

Now as if that wasn’t a totally fucked up concept of capitalism IT GETS WORSE (remember it can ALWAYS be worse even if its shit to begin with.) See the endless appetite of glorious greed wasn’t satiated, the gluttonous desires of the Large Companies and Corporations still begged to be fed. The only issue with outsourcing was while the labor force was cheap and exploitable SHIPPING costs could get quite pricey for having the finished products shipped state side. Then one damnable day the Corporations and Large Companies realized that after several years of on going outsourcing the American people had become as desperate and expendable as those citizens in the Third World Countries. So they could bullshit the lemmings of the American public, receive some good PR, exploit a expendable work force, AND SAVE MONEY ON SHIPPING COSTS.

Armed with this new despicable  knowledge the Corporations and Large Companies under the bullshit banner of patriotism for “Bring Jobs Home” started exploiting the American work force almost identical (because America has enforceable labor laws) to those they employed in the Third World. American workers were now willing to do 3 times the amount of work for 1/2 the pay and no benefits so the Cooperations and Large Companies took full advantage of the fucking crisis they created. They didn’t have to worry about complaints or pressure for more money/better benefits because if any employee said shit you just remind them “There 100 people who are ready and willing to do your job.” With that a real life reality virtually NO EMPLOYEE would even THINK of saying SHIT again because they’re terrified of losing their job in such a fucked up part of American History.

Bottom Line here is:

Insourcing or Outsourcing ITS ALL EXPLOITATION. Capitalism run rampant will be the final blow that Murders America.
