Welcome to this Wednesday’s Post featuring the Official Music Video by Lee Hardcastle for the Song “NIGHTMARE” by the Band Love Automatic.

Lee Hardcastle is a British Animator Who Specializes in Stop-Motion Techniques. He is Famous for His Handmade Independent Animations. His Work includes Original Remakes of Emblematic 1980’s Action and Horror Movies, as well as Parodies of Animated Series and Video Clips. His Work is Known for its Violent and Gory Content. He has worked with Many Companies including Momentum Pictures, 20th Century Fox, and Adult Swim, and has Also Worked with Notable Artists such as Sufjan Stevens. Besides Being a Kick Ass Animator Lee Hardcastle was a Member of the Band Shit The Bed. Hardcastle once explained His Work as “I make Claymation that is Not for Children.”

                   

All the Information I was able to Wrangle about the Band Love Automatic is the Following. Love Automatic is a New York band made up of ex-members from Senses Fail & Armor for Sleep. Their EP debut ‘Organ Donor’ is now available for download from major retailers.

PLOT: A Paranormal Research Team conducts a Seance (A Meeting where People Attempt to make Contact with the Dead) when Things Go Horribly Wrong the Team Ends Up Meeting Their DOOM!

Welcome to Thursday’s Post here at FYB Showcasing the Claymation Short PUSSYCAT by Takena Nagao. The thing I really got a Kick Out of was the Ending which is Immediately reminded Me of the Ending of the Movie DEATH PROOF by Quinten Tarantino (which is One of My All Time Favorite Movies).

Plot Summery.

If You took the Fairytales The Three Little Pigs and Combined it with Little Red Riding Hood and gave it an Old School Brothers Grimm make over. PUSSYCAT comes complete with Booze, Sex, Drugs, Lust, Hostage Taking, Violence, Liberation, Revenge, Greed, Desire, Conflict, and Blood Splattered Gore.

BELIAL’S DREAM

Welcome to Today’s FYB Post Belial’s Dream (2017) Directed By Robert Morgan who also Wrote the Screen Play. Belial’s Dream was Originally a Short Film Commissioned for Arrow Films’ Blu Ray Release of Frank Henenlotter’s  Movie Basket Case.

                   

For Those Who May be Unaware Basket Case is the 1982 Cult Slasher Horror Classic Directed by Frank Henenlotter and Produced by Edgar Levins. To Sum Up Basket Case in a Nutshell Duane and His Extremely Deformed and Psychotic Conjoined Twin Be are Surgically Separated as Kids. Duane carries  Belial around NYC in a Locked Wicker Picnic Basket as the Twins seek Revenge on the Doctor’s that Separated Them. I HIGHLY Recommend You definitely should check out the movie Basket Case as it is in at Least My Humble Opinion a True Horror Classic.

                   

So When I heard of this Video I was instantly interested because I love Fan Fiction Projects. It’s Insanely Entertaining seeing People’s Interpretations come to Life and become an Extenuation of the Movie Itself. Thusly when I saw the Title of the Video the first thing I thought to myself was that’s a Kickass Concept, and I wonder what a Creature as Demented and Deadly as Belial actually Dreams About? Could Belial dreaming of  Rainbows and Bunny Rabbits during His Psychotic Slumber? Yeah I don’t fucking Think So.

Filthy Apes and Lions

We Here at FYB are Quite Amused to Present the Claymation Music Video “Filthy Apes and Lions”. The Music and Vocals are By Mark Stoemer and Animated as well as Directed by Lee Hardcastle (Who happens to Be one Of Our Favorite Animators Who’s Work We have Featured Several Times Here at FYB). The Song was a Writing Collaboration between Mark Stoemer and Lee Hardcastle.

                

Mark Stoemer is an American Musician and Songwriter. He is Best Known as the Bassist for the Rock Band The Killers until 2016. In Addition to His Work with The Killers, Stoemer has Released Three Solo Albums one being 2017’s Filthy Apes and Lions. Stoemer also joined The Emo Band The Smashing Pumpkins to Tour in Support of the Band’s Ninth Studio Album Monuments to an Elegy (2014), and Produced The Howling Bells’ Third Studio Album The Loudest Engine.

Stemer Talked about the Songwriting Process behind the Single “Filthy Apes and Lions”: I was doing a Stream of Consciousness, Surrealistic Exercise where You just Write Out Whatever’s on the Top of Your Head, and Then I Started CreatingRhymes, Not Really Knowing where I was going, and then that’s where I got the Lyrics for the Song.

In 2006 Shit The Bed put Out Their first and Only EP Titled Camel Bite! that has amassed a Niche Cult Following over the Years since its Release. The Main Lyrical Themes are Gary Coleman, Computer Games, and Massive Natural Disasters. In Addition to Playing Drums in Shit The Bed Hardcastle also made Music Videos for the Band.

Tidbits For Shits & Giggles: Shit The Bed’s Camel Bite EP

We Noticed in the Claymation Classic HAMSTER HELL Created by One of Our Favorite Claymation Animators Lee Hardcastle the Music was by a Band called Shit The Bed. So having a Penchant for Unusual Music and Love of Hardcastle’s Claymations We had to look into the Band a Bit Further. While Looking into the Shit The Bed We discovered that Lee Hardcastle was in fact the Band’s Drummer, and from there the Hunt was On. Below You will find a Brief Band Bio Followed By Shit The Bed’s EP Camel Bite!, and then the Bonus Track Krakatoa.

Shit The Bed Brief Band Bio:

The Following Claymation/Animation Hybrid  Earth & Moon is by Cool 3D World and Who Exactly are They You may be Wondering. Well when Brian and popcorn10 (as Their Youtube Handles Title them) were introduced via Mutual Friends, They realized They shared an Interest in Exploring “Visual Art Inspired by Electronic Music” and so Cool 3D World was Born- as a Place where the Duo can Create “Art, Music, and More! All in 3D.”

The Video Features:

  • Planetary Beings (Perhaps Deities?!) meeting up in a Blood Lake.
  • Moon Vomiting Blood in Earth’s Mouth.
  • The Blood travels to a Universal Womb where it Nourishes Earth and Moon’s ‘Offspring.
  • We Venture into the Offsprings Mind.
  • There’s a Computer Generated Landscape Circa 1988.
  • Theres a Naked Man Acting as a Ceiling Fan.
  • The Naked Man Plunges Through a Mattress into a Alternate Dimension.

Tidbits For Shits And Giggles: T IS FOR TOILET [ABC’s of death]

Welcome to this Installment of Tidbits For Shits And Giggles featuring the Claymation Carnage of T IS FOR TOILET [ABC’s of death]] Directed and Animated by Lee Hardcastle.

T IS FOR TOILET Contains Scenes of GRAPHIC VIOLENCE.

T IS FOR TOILET is NOT INTENDED FOR CHILDREN.

Brief Synopsis: This Humorously Creepy Claymation Horror Story is about a Little Boy who is Very Uncomfortable with Learning to use the Toilet. Now most People simply do Not Remember the Irrational Fear(s) of being a Child going through Toilet Training, and How Alien the Whole Ordeal can be. It’s true that before One tackles the “Big Boy/Girl Potty” there’s an intermediate phase where One uses a Training Potty as part of the Transition.

            

While a Training Potty is a Logical Middle Step in the Process, BUT lets fucking face it Training Potties are NOTHING like Real Toilets. A Training Potty is basically a Plastic Mold that looks like a Mock Cartoonish Toilet (No Pun Intended) designed to be Child Compatible. An Actual Toilet is White and Sterile (like say a Doctors Office) there No Colors or Whacky Characters. Toilets are Not Designed to be Child Friendly so to Speak.

Also a Training Potty is a Third of the Size of an Adult Toilet so when a Child sits on an Adult Toilet they Feel Tiny as Toilets are Designed Specifically for grown Adults. A Small Child is Teetering on the Edge of the Rim where an Adult would be Sitting Secure and Comfortable. To add Insult to Injury when it comes to Children Feeling insecure is the Fact Their Feet are No Longer Touching the Floor. It must feel like Learning to take a Shit like You’re sitting on a Swing at the fucking Playground or something equally Insane. Lastly on the Size Inequality Issue a Child actually Small enough that They can Fall  (or more like Sink) into the Toilet Ass First.

           

The Final Extreme Difference between a Training Potty and a Real Adult Toilet is an Adult Toilet has Pluming which can be Intimidating to a Child with No Concept how Pluming Works. The Tank can Whur, Gurgle, and make other Strange and Creepy Noises that can Urk a Toilet Training Child. Also the Adult Toilet Flushes, and this is probably the Biggest Fear Inducer for Toilet Training Children. Children are a Fraction of Our (Adult) Size so when the Toilet Flushes (the Sound and Visual of) the Water being  Forcefully Sucked Down can Creep a Child Out. The Child’s Fear though is that They some how will be Sucked into the Toilet and Down the Soil Pipe (A Soil Pipe is a Pipe that Conveys Sewage or Waste Water from a Toilet, etc. to a Soil Drain or Sewer).

All Parents have to do to is Remember the Child Doesn’t Know Why all of a Sudden They have to Shit in this Giant, Grim Looking Toilet that Appears to have the Power to Suck Them In. Yes these are the Irrational Fears of a Child, But Again One must remind Themselves this is a Entirely New Experience for Them. At this age Children are just Barely beginning to understand How the World Works and it can be Utterly Terrifying at Times.

This Installment of Animation Abominations features BOBY YEAH By the Extremely Talented Artist Robert Morgan in Association with Blue Light. Morgan’s Various Works of Art would make Maynard James Keenan (and The Rest of the Members of Tool) Green with Envy and Clive Barker Blinded by Jealousy.

Plot Summery: Well what could I possibly sat about Bobby Yeah other than it seems to be a Tale of The Main Character Bobby’s search for Love/Friendship/Comfort in His Own Surreal Personal Inter Dimensional Hell. Along the Way Bobby encounters Monstrous Mutant Creatures Some Aggressive, Some Insane, and Some I have No fucking Idea What They Are Honestly.

If I had to make an Educated Guess I’d say Bobby Yeah is a Social Commentary on the Alienation, and Longing People Feel as They haphazardly Navigate Through (the Highs and Horrors) of Life looking for Companionship and Affection.
