My First Slumber Party

Welcome to Another Monday Post here at FYB featuring MY FIRST SLUMBER PARTY By One of Our Favorite Creative Artists MeatCanyon.

Sleepovers are one of the Strangest Rites go Passage for a Kid if You think about it. You make Friends at School, then Hangout at Each other’s Houses, and then the Almost Inevitable Sleepover. It’s such an Awkward Dynamic because once Night Falls You realize You have to Deal with Your Friend’s Adult Parents. To make things Feel even Uneasier You’re a Child who now must Communicate with Bigger and Smarter Adults (who have Temporary Authority and Control over You) without the Benefits of Your Parents acting as Your Amateur Ambassador. The Surreal part is You’re in Familiar Surroundings, but in the Context of a Sleepover They Suddenly Seem Utterly Alien at the Same Time. Then to Top off the Whole Bizarreness of it All You wake up in the Middle of the Night to take a Leak, and the Once Nondescript Hallway is Now Hauntingly Silent and Cloaked in Shadow. By the Time You get Home the Next Day You feel as if You just came back from a Foreign Country that just so Happened to be Ruled by Your Friends Parents.

MeatCanyon’s real name is Hunter August Hancock better know by his online user name MeatCanyon. Hancock is an American Youtuber, animator, voice actor, comedian, writer, and director who makes parody animations of popular characters (say Sponge Bob for instance). Some viewers of MeatCanyon’s animations  have been described them in just one single word “Horrifying”. A common on going gag in Hancock’s video’s is that something normal or mundane gets you killed or possible worse.

PLOT: An Eight Year Old MeatCanyon has a Rather Creepy Experience during His First Sleep Over at His Buddy Luke’s House involving Banana’s, Religion, Pokemon Cards, and His Friend’s Apparently Sociopath of a Father.

Enjoy.

Monday Make Up For Last Week’s Short Horror Film Friday: HOME EDUCATION

Welcome to FYB’s Make Up Monday Post Featuring the British Short Horror Film HOME EDUCATION Written and Directed by Andrea Niada. One thing I Noticed in this Film are the Following Three Reoccurring Topics: An Unhealthy obsession with Dust, Rot/Rotting, and Taxidermy. Well I don’t know about You, but that Definitely Peeks My Curiosity.

Plot: An Inquisitive Girl is Indoctrinated by Her Controlling Fanatic of a Mother that Her Recently Deceased Father will Resurrect Himself if They are able to Show how much They Love, Cherish, and Miss Him. The Daughter Dutifully follows Her Mother’s Lead that is, until Her Father Begins to Rot.

Enjoy.

Sunrise (A Teletubbies Cartoon) by MEATCANYON!

Welcome to FYB’s Wednesday post showcasing SUNRISE ( A TELETUBBIE CARTOON) By Our Latest favorite Animator MeatCanyon! If anyone is thinking to themselves “Teletubbies are you fucking kidding me? Has FYB gone plum retarded on itself?” then you don’t know us very well at all.

MeatCanyon’s real name is Hunter August Hancock better know by his online user name MeatCanyon. For those fortunate enough to have no fucking idea who or what the fucking Teletubbies were here’s the deal. Teletubbies was a British children’s television show created for the British Broadcasting Company (BBS). The show focused one 4 differently colored alien looking creatures (Twinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa, and Po) known as “Teletubbies”, named after the tv screens implanted in their bellies. The Show’s colorful psychedelic setting and fact that the Teletubbies communicated in gibberish was designed SPECIFICALLY to appeal to the attention spans of infants. The only audio on the show consisted of the Teletubbies gibberish, Clips of babies laughing, a Clip(s) of a Babbling Brook, birds chirping and other odd selections.

The show seemed to be one seriously surreal acid trip for infants/toddlers especially considering some aspects of the show. There wasn’t any educational value to the show I mean come the fuck on it was designed for fucking infants, so I don’t give a fuck who alleges there was an educational component. Also there were no guests, songs, or life lessons like the kind of fare that you’d find on Sesame Street. Again this is due to the fucking fact that INFANTS brain’s are virtually undeveloped seriously their less than even 1 year old.

Anyway the point is this why the original television show was the bizarre equivalent of a psychedelic tv acid trip for infants then MeatCanyon’s SUNRISE (A TELETUBBIES CARTOON) has the same premise only his version is the equivalent of a VERY FUCKED UP BAD ACID TRIP FOR ADULTS!

Short Horror Film Friday: OTHER SIDE OF THE BOX

Welcome to this Week’s Installment of Short Horror Film Friday Featuring THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BOX Directed by Caleb J. Phillips, and Cowritten by Caleb J. Phillips and Nick Tag.

Giving the Finger to the Trends, Caleb Phillips, OTHER SIDE OF THE BOX is Anything but Predictable. The Film is Rare Example of Suspense where You have Literally No Clue where it’s going. It’s Chock Full of Misdirection and Surprises that all Work Together to Defy the Viewers Expectations. Now where most Horror Films take Meticulous Care to NOT REVEAL the “Creature” until the Very End (Example: The Final Cliche Modern Day Jump Scare Bullshit), but Phillips Basically Does the Exact Opposite with OTHER SIDE OF THE BOX. In Debatably the Film’s Creepiest Scene, the Audience  gets to see the “Creature” Unexpectedly in the Middle of the Story. It’s a Perfectly Executed Scene that is both Uncanny and Unnerving to Watch. Thus the Film Focuses on a Different Eerie idea:  Knowing You’re being Watched, Self Preservation/Personal Safety, and All the While You are Unable to Look Away.

About OTHER SIDE OF THE BOX in The Director’s Own Words:

“I was so taken with this idea of terror coming from something as simple as being stared at, and the imagery of the head in the box deeply unsettled me. I’m a huge fan of cosmic horror and I wanted to make a film that felt more like an investigation instead of running from a monster.” The film, overall, succeeds in its mission. It’s fun to discover the “rules”of the scenario in real-time with the protagonists and this structural drive allows the film to find new things to present to the audience along the way. Many genre shorts run out of steam once they reveal their central high-concept trick. Box, rather, keeps building complexity and tension, getting better as it goes. Other Side of the Box won the Grand Jury Award for best midnight Short at SXSW in 2019, and as that accolade from that particular category would suggest, the film definitely skews strange. But, it’s also not inaccessible or abstract. That’s an important distinction. It’s a film that makes up its logic, but in doing so, never loses the audience. The mythology and character choices all feel like they make sense in the moment. And, of course, by relying on traditional genre thrills and suspense, it feels inherently watchable, never getting tripped up by its own inherent strangeness. It’s both bizarre and creepy in equal measure. Endings (especially in shorts) are hard. This one is a bit tough to decipher, but structurally, it feels like the film builds to a place of satisfying climax. And, thankfully, I never feel like Box resorts to easy tricks of the genre. It’s the kind of film with such a unique hook and central image that it’s bound to stick in the back of your mind for some time to come.” -Caleb J. Phillips-

Enjoy.

Hope You Enjoyed OTHER SIDE OF THE BOX and Remember it the Next Time You see the UPS Man walking Your Way.

Short Horror Film Friday: GUEST

Welcome to this Week’s Installment of Short Horror Film Friday Featuring the British Film GUEST  Written and Directed by Finn Callan and Produced by Ivan Veselov. What Stands Out is the Film’s Ability to be Truly Terrifying without the Use of Cliche (and Grossly Over Used) Jump Scare Tactics. Also be Sure to Check Out the Message from The GUEST Team after the Credits.

GUEST has been Described by Viewers as Dark and Disturbing, Eerily Haunting, Beautifully Horrific, A Surreal Nightmare, and that (in Their Personal Opinion) it Captures the Horrible Sorrow of Having Suicidal Thoughts.

My Favorite Explanation of the Film is the One I find closest to What I Believe to be True. The Hypothesis states GUEST can be Interpreted as a Woman with Schizophrenia Who tried to Escape the Eerie Visions through Self Mutilation. All She wants is for the Visual and Auditory Hallucinations that Torment Her to Stop, but Ultimately You Can’t Escape Your Own Mind. Your Mind can be Plagued by Unwanted Guests in the Form of Mental Disorders.

It’s Sad to Say it’s not Uncommon for Those Suffering from Schizophrenia to Go Through Moments such as This.

Premis:

A Home Owner Returns Home to Find an Unknown and  Seriously Injured Woman Lying on Their Bathroom Floor. What the Home Owner is Unaware of is Their Mysterious Guest isn’t Alone… She Brought a Guest of Her Own.

Enjoy.

Short Horror Film Friday: Tea Time

Hello it is I Otto and I have been given the task of this week’s installment of Short Horror Film Friday. For this week’s selection after much deliberation I chose TEA TIME (2007) Directed by Erik Deutschman. Tea Time was filmed on a single Super-8 cartridge, edited in camera, shot in sequence, and with only a single take per shot. The Film was originally made for an Los Angeles film event called: “Attack of the 50 Foot Reels”.

The deciding factor for My selection was I feel Tea Time a true 50/50 representation of the two separate schools of horror that Les and Justine subscribe to. Les is definitely from the psychological school of horror welcoming the devils and demons into his head to rape his mind with madness. Justin on the other hand favors more violent, blood soaked, gore driven splatter films from the school of more visceral horror. Thus Considering Tea Time has elements of both Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho, and Stephen King’s The Shinning (not to mention the soundtrack that continues to eerily distort as the film plays out) made it the perfect selection for this week.

Synopsis:

On a quiet sunny day an elderly woman prepares some afternoon tea for her and her husband, but things are far grimmer than they appear.

Strange and Disturbing Videos: 00390

Welcome to yet Another Installment of Strange and Disturbing Videos featuring  00390 One of Youtube’s Darkest Mysteries. So without Further Ado let’s Jump on Down this Rabbit Hole Hand in Hand.

00390 Rumors, Hypotheses, and Outstanding Questions:

  • 00390 First Surfaced Online in November 2015, and is Still Currently Active.
  • After Six Years 00390 has Posted Over 100+ Videos
  • After Posting a String of Videos Viewers found Creepy and Disturbing.
  • Viewers Began to Speculate and Many came to Believe 00390’s Youtube Channel was in Fact being Run by a Stalker and Likely a Kidnapper.
  • As More Videos were Posted Viewers started to Believe 00390 wasn’t just into Stalking and Abductions. They began to hypothesis that 00390 was Actually a Real Life Serial Killer, but it Doesn’t End There.
  • One Strange Factor stood Out as Particularly Weird and that was the Handful of Video’s Sprinkled in with the Grimmer/Disturbing Content. These Video’s were of Food being Cooked.
  • All the Food Videos had Meat as it’s Primary Ingredient.
  • The Food Videos started the Rumor that 00390 was Not just a Serial Killer but a Cannibal as Well.

  • The Cannibal Rumor was indeed Confirmed by 00390 in the Comments Section of the Video Doll House Working Test-Cooking Some Meat.
  • In the Doll House Video’s comment Section which Reads like a Recipy Under the Ingredient Referred to Simply as Meat 00390 States “For Meat: You Need a Girl.”
  • Due to Various Videos by 00390 like Exploring Summer Night Streets-Hookers that 00390 is Based Out of Europe. Also a Phrase that Appears on Screen at one Point in the Video in Italian and Translates into “Too Fat”.
  • While 00390’s Average Views Per Video is Around 2,000, but Exploring Summer Nights-Hookers has Racked Up a Whopping 1.7 Million Views. The Reason(s) for this Massively Drastic Difference in the Number of Views is Currently Unknown.

  • In Addition to the Already Addressed Information when You go to 00390’s About Page (the Cryptic and Antisocial Description) Appears First in English and then in Italian. Thus it’s Pretty Safe to Say 00390 calls Italy Home.
  • 00390’s About Page Verbatim:
(Note to Reader: Based on the Cannibal Concept behind 00390 does “At best offer me some typical food of your country” mean Send Female Human Flesh from Your Home Country.)

Now while You could if You wanted to go Check out the 100+ Videos by 00390, but I’ve searched through 00390’s Video Catalog. I ended up Selecting 10 of the Darkest/Creepiest Videos that Showcase the Aspects of 00390’s Videos mentioned above. Here is a List (Along with any Notes and Observations of Ours) of the Ten Video 00390 Sampling in the Order They Appear in:

Enjoy.

In Summation:

Well in Conclusion We believe these Videos are Strange, Disturbing, and Ultimately Fake. 00390’s Videos also Don’t appear to be Promotions for a Video Game or Movie since the Videos have been Posted over 6 Plus years. So Unless this is an “Axl Rose – Chinese Democracy” Situation the Promotion Angle makes No Sense. A Possibly Viable Reason for 00390’s Videos could be that this is Art Student or Visual Artist’s on Going Art Project.  Though I think there’s a Bit more to It. As Far as this being an ARG  it Very Well could be it, but I am Not 100% Convinced this is the Case.

I think this is simply Someone Who wants/likes  People Thinking/Believing that They’re some Insanely Psychotic Serial Killer and Crazed Cannibal straight out of a B-Horror Movie. The Point is I think 00390 is creating and Posting these Videos because He/She/They get a Kick Out of It.  Sometimes the Simplest Solution is Sufficient as Face Value has its Own Worth.

Short Horror Film Friday: NO THROUGH ROAD 4

Welcome to this Week’s Installment of Short Horror Film Friday featuring NO THROUGH ROAD 4 the Final Short in the British Psychological Horror Series. This Installment is a Bit Different because Below the Film We have Our Series Synopsis where We examine the Four Films in an Attempt to Deduce What it was all About/What was Going On. If You haven’t seen the Three Previous NO THROUGH ROAD Short Films We Highly Suggest You Do before watching NO THROUGH ROAD 4 (You can Find all Three Previous Shorts Here in the Movie Category in case Some aren’t Aware).

Outstanding Questions Entering NO THROUGH ROAD 4:

  • Will the Boys Manage to Escape from the Man in the Mask Alive?
  • Who is The Man in the Mask
  • What is the Endless Loop All About?
  • What Happened to Steven during the 3 Years He was Missing and Presumed Dead?
  • What is Steven’s Connection to The Man in a Mask?
  • What does Steven Know that HE’s Not telling the Others About?
  • How did the Boys come to Find Themselves in this Sinister Situation to Begin With?
  • Whats the Significance of the Tunnel?
  • What’s the Significance of the NO THROUGH ROAD Signs?
  • Can the Man in the Mask Be Killed and if So How?
  • Why is the Man in the Mask Terrorizing Travelers (What’s His Motive)?

Enjoy.

So What was it all About: Final Summation

Basically, the Boys Found the House and Figured Out that the Mysterious Man in a Mask that Terrorizes the Boys Lives There. Essentially,  The Man in a Mask  has been Living Out in the Middle of Nowhere, Tormenting and Quite Possibly Killing People Who Unknowingly Dare Trespass on His Property. Now, the Interesting thing Here is that You have to stop thinking Steven and The Man in the Mask are Two Different People.
The Signs that said “No Through Road” were a Dire Warning to Travelers. How things go for Steven is as follows:
Present: They Found Steven (When He shows Up Out of Nowhere in No Through Road 2)
Past: He was “Murdered” along with His Friends.
Future: The Man in the Mask/Steven Knows what the Tunnel is and Tries to Warn People Off from it.
Instead, People/Travelers go through without thinking, so He Tries to Scare Them Away. The Tunnel itself is like the Movie Groundhog Day; an Infinitely-Looping Series of Events that Only the One(s) Who are Aware and/or Experiencing them can Prevent. Steven believed that if He Prevented The Man in the Mask (Himself) from Attacking the Past Him, it would Somehow Alter the Outcome of the Events that Followed. Unfortunately, He Ended up Attacking Himself and Repeating the Events that lead to Him being Discovered.  Horrified by what He had Done, Steven Runs Away and Hides where Nobody can find Him, Unless They go Searching. He stays there for Years, scavenging together Food and shit for However long and doing His Best to Prevent a Repeat of Events. Except each day, He Repeats the Same Thing in an Eternal Loop.
The Reason Why the Boys  can’t Hurt The Man in the Mask is because He Does Not Exist at the Same Point in Time. Steven in the Future has Learned that Not Only did the Tunnel Trap Him in an Infinite Loop, but with some Practice, He can Jump to Specific Points in Time. Steven is No-face. He wants to Prevent Other People/Travelers from Experiencing His Hell. He knows No Matter what, Regardless of what Point in Time He jumps to, the Events that are Keeping Him there are a Fixed Point in Time. Anything that Happens following Someone’s Discovery of the Tunnel Automatically becomes a Fixed Point in Time that keeps You Trapped Unable to Escape.

Short Horror Film Friday: NO THROUGH ROAD 2

Welcome to this Week’s Installment of Short Horror Film Friday featuring  the Found Footage Short Horror Film NO THROUGH ROAD 2! We have already Posted the Original NO THROUGH ROAD in a Previous Installment of Short Horror Film Friday, and were Thrilled to Learn that a Sequel had in fact been Made. We Highly recommend You Go watch NO THROUGH ROAD  First before Watching the Sequel so that You’re Not Confused as to what the Hell is Happening in NO THROUGH ROAD 2.

Synopsis:

James and the New Cameraman Dave go to put Flowers on Steven’s “Grave” which is Actually a Spot on the Side of the Road where Steven was Murdered.  While at the Gravesite Dave and James reference the First Movie with James Stating that He has No Recollection of that Night’s Events, and hasn’t Spoken about that Night Since.  While Driving Back from Steven’s Grave the Duo gets Completely Turned Around, and find Themselves Lost in the Middle of Nowhere without Cell Service.

That is Until James Notices a Road Sign for Bennington as They Drive, and Realizes that They’ve been Driving in Circles. As things go from Bad to Worse James and Dave Realize They’re Trapped in an Endless Loop from which They can’t Escape No Matter how Hard They Try. Growing more Frantic James and Dave pull over to try and gather Their Thoughts and Devise a Game Plan. Then all of a Sudden Steven appears Outside the Car Window His face Covered in Blood, but Very Much Still Alive.

Steven is in a Severely Disoriented State, and Rambling a Mile a Minute Incoherently as the Three of Them try to Get a Grip on the Reality of the Situation. James explains to Steven that He’s been Missing for Three Years, and that He has been Presumed Dead at this Point and Time.  James Comforts Steven as He is sitting in the Middle of a Dirt Road having a Minor Mental Breakdown before the Film Cuts to Black.

A Moment after the Movie goes Black the Following Words appear on the Screen:

“The Tape Ends Here. It was found in a camera case along with a camera. The Camera was Broken, but Another Tape was found Inside it. While severely damaged efforts are currently being made to retrieve the Data on the tape.”

Enjoy.
