This Video According to cyriak is a Collection of Animation Experiments that “congealed into a video”. This Video is, in Our Opinion, Best Viewed Either Stoned or While Getting Stoned (We Recommend a Bong for the Latter). INDIGESTION obviously has No Meaning Nor Point to it or to make which is fucking Fine by Us. We for one are Sick of Idiots Acting like Viable Content Creators/Artist which is an Increasingly Plagued Social Media. Social Media as it were Opened the Preverbal Pandora’s Box of Human Bullshit Behaviors but We Digress for Now. The Visuals in INDIGESTION appeal to Us because it Reminds Us of the Absurdly Surreal Animations of the Monty Python and the Flying Circus British TV Show. That and We simply like Creepy fucking Content because Normal is Boring and Boring is Bullshit so fuck the Bullshit Basically. So enough of this Babbling Bullshit let’s get on with it…

I would compare this Video to an Intense Trip as opposed to a Bad Trip and Here’s Why. You Don’t have the Feeling You’re in Immediate Danger or All Consuming Dread that You do with Bad Trips when You become Trapped in a Nightmarish Hell Scape of Your Own Creating. BUT with an Intense Trip You can Experience a Feeling of Concern that Things May have or are Currently getting the fuck out of Hand.

For Shits and Giggles: “Existential Threat” By Sparks

I think its safe to say we have all had day’s where it seemed the universe has dropped its pants, and is taking a colossal cosmic crap on your entire fucking life.  Those are those days you spend going hour after fucking hour wondering “Why Me?” or “What the fuck did I do to deserve this bullshit?” as the universe plays a fucked up game of cat and mouse with your current reality. It can get so fucking intense that you may actually consider that you have somehow offended the Powers That Be (God, universe, fate and so on) and now are being punished in some bizarre manner.

This bring me to today’s post the official music video for ‘The Existential Threat’ by Sparks (also known as Halfnelson), taken from their 2020 album ‘A Steady Drip, Drip, Drip’. Sparks is an American pop and rock duo formed in 1967 consisting of brothers Ron Mael on Keyboards and Russell Mael on vocals. Sparks are known for their quirky approach to songwriting which is often accompanied by sophisticated and acerbic lyrics often about women or Shakespearean literature references, and an idiosyncratic, theatrical stage presence, typified in the contrast between Russell’s animated, hyperactive frontman antics and Ron’s deadpan scowling. The band is also noted for Russell Mael’s distinctive wide ranging voice and Ron Mael’s intricate and rhythmic keyboard playing style. Sparks  have been far more successful in Europe compared to their native United States, though the band maintains a loyal cult following American non the less.

The video for the song was done by none other than one of our favorite animators cyriak. Breakfast is an Old Piece of Footage (Film) from a PSA on Traffic Safety that Evolved into a Music Video by cyriak. Cyriak is a Freelance Animator based somewhere in the UK. The software He uses is Photoshop and After Effects for Animation and Fruity Loops for Music.

Side Note: If Anyone is Curious about the Guy in the Video, His name is Richard Massingham and He made loads of these Weird Public Information Films back in the 1940s. You can Search His name if You want to find them.

Synopsis:

Spawned inside a Laboratory Full of Politician’s Heads in Jars a Mad Scientist Preforms Horrific Human Experiments. One of His Grossly Deformed Human Maggot Creation Spontaneously Vomits a Massive Living Blob made from a Variety of Mutated Humans that are Melded together (in a Fashion Reminiscent of the 1998 Horror Movie Society). The Human Blob Monster Escapes Smashing through the Wall , and runs Amok Wreaking Havoc on the Streets of London until it is Shot and Instantly Killed by a Tank. The Scientist Births a Second Humanoid Mutant from the Bloody Corpse of the Human Blob Monster, and the New Mutant Creature Continues the Rampage of Mass Destruction Until it Reaches Big Ben (Which it Climbs and Attempts to Eat). Suddenly a Giant Metal Head Blasts Off into the Sky before Transforming into a Huge Humanoid Robot. The Robot Precedes to Battle the Second Human Mutant Monster to Save London and Lives of its Residents.

       

Is the Robot Strong Enough to Vanquish the Abominable Beast in a Final Showdown to the Death or Will the Murderous Monster Hell Bent on Destroying London Prevail?  You’ll have to Watch and See.
