The Insanity That Is AlanTutorial

Welcome to this Monday’s FYB Post where We’re going to do Something Different than the Past Several Mondays. Today’s Post features and Pertains to Alantutorial a tutorial based Youtube Channel that follows tutorial videos of a Mild Mannered Adult Man Named Alan. However We can tell there is Something Not Quite Right with Alan and His Mental State begins to go from Bad to Worse. The Viewer can see Alan’s Sanity Slipping Farther and Farther Away.  Alan’s Tutorial Videos start to become increasingly more Disturbing with every Passing Day and Every New Video.

                    

Alan Tutorials are Nothing Less than Absurd, and aren’t Practical for Anything. The Production Value is utterly Shitty with Wobbly Camera, Total Lack of any sort of Editing, and Half the Time Alan doesn’t seems to even grasp the concept of His own Subject Matter. There are also several Hypothesizes surrounding Alan’s rather Odd Behavior, Speech, and Videos as Well. Here They are in Random Order:

  • Alan is Experiencing some sort of Arrested Development.
  • Alan possibly has a Mental Disorder (example Multiple Personality Disorder).
  • Alan is Mentally Handicapped.
  • Alan has suffered some Horrible Trauma that He can’t come to Grips With Which In Spite of being a Adult Talks like a Little Child.
  • Alan has Asperger’s Syndrom/Autism.

Now the One Hypothesis suggesting Alan has a Autism/Asperger’s Syndrome  seems to be the Most Likely but Why is that? In one of the Early Videos Alan has a Tab on His Web Browser that Notes that it is Autism Awareness Month. Now of course some say that its just a Coincidence, but I hold favor with Those Who believe it’s a Very Subtle Clue. Although I wouldn’t Rule Out All of the Other Hypothesis as I do think some apply here and There through out the Series.

                  

Also as the Series Progresses Alan’s Life starts to Drastically Change. In the Beginning Videos Alan is simply doing His Weird Tutorials in what appears to be the Bedroom of a Small Apartment. Then there is a Significant Turning Point Where Alan is apparently been Locked out of His Room/Apartment and all of His Possessions have been Packed up for Him. Alan then spends a good amount of Time Homeless and Living in some Near By Woods where He still makes Tutorial Videos as Best He Can. There is One Thing that is Troubling from this Time Period and that is Alan is Heavily Splattered with Blood (and then cumulative Dirt and Grim) that He doesn’t seem to fell the need to Wash Off of Himself.

Then all of a Sudden Alan is Abducted by a Unknown Assailant(s) and Transported to an Unknown Location in the back of for all Intents and Purposes appears to be a Uhaul Type Truck. In the Abduction Video It is also a Disturbing Aspect that is Alan being covered in Blood like He just walked off the Set of a B Horror Movie. Alan ends up being Held Captive for a Duration during which the Captor(s) Provide Alan Supplies for His Tutorials which even in Captivity Alan continues to make. What’s interesting here isn’t just that the Captor(s) provide Alan Supplies, but when Alan is Finished a New Video a One Dollar Bill is Slid to Him under the Door.

                   

Over an Undisclosed amount of Time things slowly start to Deteriorate. The Room Alan is being Held in becomes more and more Filthy with Trash all over the Floor and at one Point the Electricity is Cut Off. We know this by the fact Alan has to use a Flashlight in the Final Videos of the Series. At Last Alan discovers a Hole in the Wall, Crawls Enthusiastically through it existing the room and Freeing Himself.

What happens Ultimately to Alan in the End is a Mystery since His Escape Video was the Last Video Posted to His Youtube Channel. Did Alan set out embarking on Starting a Life of His Own? Did He reunite with His Brother? Did Alan’s Captor’s Catch Him as He made His Get Away once Free from Captivity, or Did His Captor(s) Discover Alan’s Escape and Hunted Him down at which Point They Murdered Him? Sucks to say but these are Questions that will More Likely than Not Never be Answered.

                   

Reoccurring Themes:

  • The Color Blue is a Constant throughout the Series. Examples Include The Blue Mat in the Yoga Tutorial, The Actual Blue Chair, The Red Table Alan Paints Blue while in Captivity, and a Small Hand Painted Picture of the Blue Chair on one of the Walls in the Room Alan is being Held in (“The Story Of T3 Balls Video).
  • The Blue Chair appears in Several Videos, but it First appears in “How To Pick Up A Blue Chair Off The Ground”.  The Blue Chair is also featured in “How To Do Spanish Hair Braids”, “How To Eat A Bag Of Chips”, “How to Pick Up A Huge Amount Of Pencils, and “Do It Yourself Weatherized Hole”
  • Slats of Wood
  • Water (Not Actually Water but a Strange Hair Gel Looking Substance).
  • The Money Man Alan creates in Captivity that He ends up having a Conversation With.
  • The Mysterious Woman who is in Only Two Videos and is only Seen in One. (“How To Escape A Dark Room” and “How To Find A Lake”)

Note Worthy Shit: 

  • In the Video Hard Drive Video Alan mentions that He Lives with His Brother.
  • When it comes to the Mysterious Woman Alan says “Ut-Oh” Extremely Nervously as if He is Afraid of Her and Immediate returns to His Bedroom.. Is She Alan’s Mother or  Alan mentions Early on that He lives with His Brother so His Brother’s Girlfriend? Was She the One that Locked Alan in the Closet (aka Dark Room)? That would at least Explain Why Alan is Afraid of Her. Could the Woman be Alan’s Mother? The Video before Alan is Locked Out He Severely Damages the Bedrooms Ceiling while look for Wooden Slats, and is this Why perhaps He was Locked Out/ Evicted?
  • In the Video “Locked Out of Room” Tutorial Alan can be Heard Whispering future Tutorial Subjects to Himself (while awaiting Help), and one of the Subjects is “How To Kill”. This is Significant because in the Video where Alan is being Abducted in the back of a Shipping Truck He’s Covered in Blood.

                    

  • The Room Alan is kept Captive in doesn’t seem to upset Alan say like being Stuck in a Jail Cell for Example. In fact Alan appears to be quite Content with/in His Surroundings.
  • Alan mentions (Sometimes Several Times in a Single Video) to Subscribe, Like, and Add His Youtube Channel as a Favorite.
  • In the “How To Pick Up A Blue Chair…” Video Alan approaches the fallen Chair as if it were an Actual Person who may be in need of Emergency Medical Help or The way Someone would Act Upon finding an Unconscious and Possibly Dead. Alan appears to be Distressed as He Whimpers and His Voice Keeps Wavering as well as Cracking with Emotion. The Alan Discovering His Dead Mother is Backed by the Video’s Description “If Your Chair is on the Floor here is How to get it Back, and Pick Up all the Pieces of Something Broken and Unfair.”

                   

  • It’s Speculated by Some that Alan’s Captor(s) are Forcing Alan to make Tutorial Videos in Captivity to make Them Money (or Moreover They’re Stealing Alan’s Financial Returns from His Youtube Channel.
  • In the Video “How To Fill A Tiny Bin With Dirt” Alan says at one point “The Military Time Watch You Borrowed from Dad.” This is odd because the Only People Other than Alan in the Series are His Brother (Who We Never See or Hear From), The Unknown Woman (Seen Only Once and Not Heard From), and Alan’s Unknown Captor(s). This is the One and Only Mention of Anyone Else, and it just so Happens to be Alan’s Father.

                   

Symbolism:

  • There Many Hypothesis on What the the Origins of the Blood Covered Alan. Some Think it’s because  Alan Kill His Mom/Brother/Brother’s Girlfriend or Possibly Someone Else. The Other Possibility is Whoever Abducted Alan either Beat Him or They could have Killed Alan’s Family and it’s Their Blood all over Alan.
  • There a Couple Different Hypothesis on the Actual Room Alan is held Captive in. One it’s some Room for Holding Someone Hostage and the Other is Far More Intriguing. The Second Hypothesis is tied Directly to the Topic of the Blood in Some Believe Alan Murdered Someone and has been Taken into Custody by the Authorities or Mental Health Professionals. That would make the Room Alan Alan is a Patient’s Room in a Mental Hospital or Possibly a Mental Asylum for the Criminally Insane if He in Fact Did Kill Someone. Then Again Perhaps after Destroying His Bedroom (and Living in the Woods Homeless)  Alan’s Brother/Mother had Him Institutionalized for Help with His Mental Disorder.

                   

  • There also Two Hypothesis on Why Alan’s Room plunges into complete Squaller during the Last Videos. One is the Captors decided to Leave and Left Alan there to Die. The Other is that the Asylum was Shut Down and Alan was simply Forgotten About.
  • Now when it comes to the Blue Chair there a Variety of Hypothesis on what it Represents. Some believe it Represents Alan’s Deceased Mother who’s Body was Discovered by Alan (Remember the Distress and Emotional Angst in the “How To Pick Up A Blue Chair…” Video. It could also Represent Alan’s Failures as Far as Failing to become a Famous YouTuber or Other Life Failures. Then Some think the Blue Chair Represents Alan’s Lost Childhood. The Blue Chair might also Represent Trouble? By this I mean was Alan a Trouble Maker as a Child and Thus was put on a “Time Out” sitting on said Blue Chair.

                   

CONCLUSION:

The Obvious Question on Everyone’s Mind is This Series Real or What and Heres the Answer. It’s Fictional Series it’s actually an Experimental Performance Art Project by American Comedian, Visual Artist, and Film Maker Alan Resnick Who plays a Fictional Version of Himself. Resnick created the Series as YouTube Satire since He was Frustrated (and Disgusted) with/by all the Pointless Vlogs, Poorly Filmed, Poorly Edited if at All, Monetization, Crappy Videos with No Though or Creativity (Content for Contents sake or a Quantity over Quality Scenario), and Unexplained Tutorial on Youtube. Resnick Deemed all of it a Trash/Trashy Content and Decided to Create His Own YouTube Trash Channel Showcasing all the Shit He Hated about the Platform. Resnick created the Storyline of the Fictional Alan being a Dark and Deeply Troubled Individual Who ends up on a Nightmarish Decent into Sheer Madness.

Blank Room Soup 3 and 4

Welcome to FYB’s Wednesday Post featuring BLANK ROOM SOUP 3 (Abduction) along with BLANK ROOM SOUP 4 (Hidden Location). Now for Those Who may Not Know We did an Extensive Piece on BLANK ROOM SOUP.AVI which was the Original Blank Room Soup Video. In Addition to the BLANK ROOM SOUP.AVI Video and the “Sequel” BLANK ROOM SOUP 2 TORTURE. To be Totally Honest the BLANK ROOM SOUP AVI/ BLANK ROOM SOUP 2 TORTURE is one of My Top Three Favorite Posts I’ve Done here at FYB. If You haven’t Checked Out the Original Post I SERIOUSLY SUGGEST YOU DO SO NOW.

With that Said I was more than Excited when it was Brought to My Attention that there was in Fact Two more Installments to the BLANK ROOM SOUP Saga. I immediately looked Them Up with Great Anticipation first BLANK ROOM SOUP 3 (Abduction) and then BLANK ROOM SOUP 4 (Hidden Location). What I found was Something Odd that much is True, but it was also a bit Anti Climactic.  Now before I Go To Far here is a BRIEF Recap for Those just Joining Us.

BLANK ROOM SOUP.AVI : A Man Sits at a Table in a Empty Sterile White Room sitting at a table Sobbing Away while Eating a Mysterious Soup. The Man is Not Alone there are To Individuals in Elaborate Costumes are Present. The Two Costumed Individuals Attempt to Comfort the Crying Man as He chokes Down Spoon Full after Spoon Full of the Sinister Soup. The Costumed Individuals are Eerily Rub the Mans Back, Pat His Head, and Have Sympathetic Mannerisms/Body Language (Although They appear to be the Ones Holding this Poor Man Hostage in the First Place).

BLANK ROOM SOUP 2 TORTURE : While the Title is Ominous there is No Actual Torture it’s more or Less an Implication. Again Same Man, Same Room, and Still Forcing Himself to Eat the Sickening Soup. This Time though the Camera has been Moved to the Left so the Viewer can See a Blackened Doorway in the Far Left Corner of the Screen. A Costumed Individual Slides into the room Hugging the Wall and Stands just Next to the Side of the Doorway. A Second Costumed Individual Enters Standing in the Doorway as the Man looks over His Shoulder in Fear. After standing Motionless Momentarily the Costumed Individual in the Doorway Suddenly Bum Rushes the Man from Behind, the Screen Goes Black, and We Hear Him Yell Out in Surprise before the Audio Cuts Out at the End.

With that Out of the Way I will say that BLANK ROOM SOUP 3 (Abduction) and BLANK ROOM SOUP (Hidden Location) are Something Completely Different. I think it’s Appropriate that You watch BRS 3 (Abduction) and BRS 4 (Hidden Location) before I get into I do the Whole Compare and Contrast Deal between the First Two BRS Videos and the Second Set of BRS Videos.

My Two Cents:

  • I don’t believe that the First Two BRS Videos have a goddamn thing to due with BRS 3 and BRS 4 that is I don’t think this is a Series.
  • The Drastic Difference in the Two Separate Sets of BRS Videos are so absolutely different Aesthetically that it reminds Me of the Vast Cinematic Difference in the Tom Six Films Human Centipede 1 vs. Human Centipede 2.
  • The Runtimes are Also Extremely Different in BRS.AVI has a Runtime of 1:06 and BRS 2 Torture tops out at 1:07. In Comparison BRS 3 (Abduction) is a minuscule 10 Seconds Total and BRS 4 (Hidden Location) has a total Runtime of just a Mere 11 Seconds.

                   

  • The thing that I can’t get out of My Head. While the Second Set of BRS Videos are Significantly Shorter than the Initial Set They do Share Something in Common with the First Two Videos. Like the First BRS Videos the Second Set also have a One Second Difference in Their Runtime just like the Original Two BRS Videos.
  • I have the Sneaking Suspicion (especially with No Current Viable Information which isn’t all that Odd considering it took Years before BRS.AVI blew up on Facebook and Youtube) that BRS 3 and BRS 4 where made by a Different Person/People then the Original Two BRS Videos. I Believe the reason being BRS 3 and BRS 4 are fucking Rip Offs that are trying to Capitalize on the Phenomenon created by BRS.AVI.

The Break Down: BLANK ROOM SOUP 3 (Abduction)

  • The Camera Work is Really Shitty, The Camera isn’t Steady, The Lighting is complete shit, the Picture is Grainy/Blurry as the World’s Shittiest Auto Focus on the Obviously Outdated or Older Tech.
  • The Hostage looks like the Bastard Offspring of a Circus Ring Master and Willy fucking Wonka.
  • The Hostage is Acting and Doing a Truly Shitty Job Shuffling Around like a Bad imitation of a Drunk. All I’m saying is if I was Kidnapped and Shit by Motherfuckers in Elaborate Costumes I’d be Struggling and in spite of being Gaged would make as Much Noise as I could. Meanwhile the Will Wonka Ring Master just lolly gags through the Shot even looking at the Camera at one Point which is an Acting No No.

  • The Location is also Randomly Out of Place as it appears to be some Dirty, Dark, and Disgusting Back Ally or some shit.
  • The Shit Camera Work is due to the Fact there is a Camera Man where in the First Two Original BRS Videos more than likely were shot using a Standard Tripod thus keeping the Shot Steady.
  • The Costumed Individual Acts Nothing like the 2 Individuals in the First Two BRS Videos. There is No Interaction with the Hostage (other than awkwardly pushing him Across the Screen) and Seems to have No Actual Purpose other than to Play the Classic Role of Bad Guy/Kidnapper. The Sutle Nuances aren’t there its just Basic as Basic Gets. There is No Deeper Meaning or Reason to BRS 3 it’s seems to be just Generic Shock Type Content. As a Viewer I have No Vested Interest in anything as the Video is Purely a Face Value Scenario.

The Breakdown: BLANK ROOM SOUP 4 (Hidden Location)

  • First Off What the Fuck does “Hidden Location” Supposed to mean since Someone with a Camera found it and Filmed it Catching The Costumed Individual Standing to the Side in the Shadows.
  • Basically I won’t waste Your Time so to Sum it Up BRS 4 it has the Same issues as BRS 3 in Shitty Camera Work, Old Ass Tech, Out of Place Location, Abnormally Acting Costumed Individual (who lets face it is standing there for Sheer Creep Factor), Shitty Audio, and Crap Acting.
  • I doubt it but this could be Someone Ripping off BRS and Trying to Use the Concept to Launch Their Own ARG. I say this because for the Sake of Argument One could Say that The Hostage from BRS 3 is being Held at the So Called “Hidden Location”. If this is the Case it’s not Only Unoriginal Artistic Plagiarism it’s also Done in a Exceptionable Shitty Fashion.

Well That’s All I have to Say on the Subject So I’m Off into the Wild Blue Yonder.

Dark Web Video: Abducted & Imprisoned Girl

Alright this Video is a Bit Different in We couldn’t find a damn thing Pertaining to it. No Information like when was it Posted and By Who or Has Anyone Uncovered Any Information or Possible Hypothesizes. This was a First for Us as We rather Pride Ourselves on Not just Providing the Video(s) Themselves, BUT Any and All Information We uncover About it as Well (Lets Face it Any Idiot can Post a Video and Call it a Day).

Now let’s dress the Obvious right off the Bat which is We all are well aware that the Internet is Full of a Great Deal of Bullshit. The Internet is the Embodiment of the Cliche “You Can’t Believe Everything You Read.” too a fucking T. There is so Much Bullshit it’s posses the Content Question is what I’m seeing/watching Real or just another Hoax, Joke, Art Project or Movie/Video Game Promotion?!

It’s for this Reason We pose this Question to Our Fans: In the Sea of Online Bullshit Nowadays wouldn’t it be Easy for Some to Post something thats Actually Real (and fucked up) without Consequence or Concern? What We mean is Since People have become so cynical Online They would just simply Disregard twitch an Automatic Assumption that it’s Fake. Point is No One would Question it for the Most Part thus allowing a possible real life Criminal to Avoid Capture. As for the small handful of People who think there’s something serious Wrong are dismissed as Nut Jobs or Conspiracy Theorists.

           

Also this is a Prime Example where People use 2 different Words interchangeably as if They mean the Same thing when they Do Not. The Deep Web and the Dark Web ARE TWO COMPLETELY SEPARATE THINGS. So whoever Labeled this Video did so Mistakenly as It’s the Dark Web that Deals in Some Seriously Sick Shit. As for the Deep Web it’s rather Benign consisting Primarily of Government Documents, Scientific Research Studies, and Other Obscure Academia.

There Several Aspects that Set this Particular Kidnapped/Hostage Video that separates it from the Heard. First off This Video is in Color, Not Black and White or Some Shitty Night Vision Crap Effect. The Video also Shows essentially the Entire room the You Girl is Allegedly being Held it. Usually in these Type of Videos most everything is Cloaked in Shadow so there little to No Additional Details can be seen by the Viewer. The Lighting in this Video is that of any Normal Room, again it’s not all Dark and Vague, You can see Everything in the Video Clearly for the most Part.

The Camera is also Stationary like its been mounted like a CCTV or Security Camera where usually the Camera work is Wobbly, Shaky, and tends to Jump Around all over the Place as the Camera swings around wildly between Glimpses of this or that. Lastly there is No Audio in this Video where usually in these type of Videos They Created utilizes Primal Screams, Whimpers, Crying, or smoother Sinister Sounding Noise Like a Metal Door Slamming Shut or some  Haunted House Shit like that.

           

Heres a Run Down of the Video:

  • Opens with the Young Girl Sleeping on the Floor in a Sleeping Bag.
  • a Box/Container is Thrown into the Room Startling the Sleeping Girl.
  • The Girls Sits Indian Style and Snack on Some Type of Food.
  • The Camera Cuts to a Later where the Girl is Staring into the Camera like an Exhausted Drugged Up Zombie.
  • The Girl returns to the Sleeping Bag.
  • The Camera Cuts again to a Later scene of the Girl with Her back to the Camera for some Reason.
  • The Girls begins to Write on Something.
  • The Girl then Holds up a Sign for the Camera that says “I have 2 days of Food Left There is No/Not Water”
  • Girl flips over the sign and I don’t know if the Video Quality is a bit Shitty (Blurry) or if its just a Shitty Service Here in the Woods. Anyway the Second side of the Sign Appears to Say Something to the Effect that if anyone sees this (her sign) to come Save Her. IT DOES say in the lower left corner of the Sign “Help Me”.
  • Then the Girl opens the Box/Container from Earlier.
  • Once She Opens it She flips the Fuck Out and Bolts to the Left side of the Screen where She appears to grab a Pole of some sort. She then Holds it like a Spear in a Self Defense Stance.
  • The Girl then abandons Her “Weapon” and runs full speed across the Room to the Right Side of the Screen. There She Scrambles in the Corner as if Trying to Climb Up to Escape Something.
  • She then makes a Panicked Plea to the Camera while Waving Her Arms, but without Audio We have No Idea what She is Saying.
  • Video Cuts Off/ Ends

So You’ll just once Again have to Watch and Decide for Yourself if You think the Following Video is just another Hoax/Art Project or Could it Possibly Be Real and Camouflaged by all the Bullshit?!
