WTF IS With Robert De Niro And Interviews?!!

It Simply doesn’t matter if You’re a Fan or Not Robert De Niro at this Point in Time De Niro is a World Wide American fucking Acting Icon. Seriously the Infamous Line “You Talking To Me?” said by De Niro in the 1976 Cult Classic Movie “Taxi Driver” has been Referenced in Both Film and Television Countlessly over the Years.De Niro got His start in Acting in the Early 1970’s and has had a Prolific Career that is still goin strong Today. De Niro is Proficient in a Range of Genres from Comedy to Action To Drama He can do Them All Masterfully. Over the Decades De Niro has racked up a Slew of Awards including 2 Oscars, and Garnered a Worldwide Acclaim from  Loyal Fans and Critics alike. De Niro is also Known for Cinematic  Collaborations with Renowned Director Martin Scorsese starting with 1973’s Film “Mean Streets”. Well Enough of this Acting crap this isn’t Intended to be a Biography of De Niro’s Acting Career. There’s already Endless Volumes of Information on De Niro as far as His Work in the World of Acting, but this Isn’t About De Niro’s Movies/Acting Career it’s about His Interviews.

         

Now a Little know Fact about De Niro outside of the Talk Show World is that He is damn near impossible to Interview. In Fact De Niro during Interviews is the Absolute Antithesis of the Saying “It’s like Pulling Teeth”. Apparently De Niro absolutely fucking HATES having to do Interviews and We do Mean HATE. Obviously De Niro Realizes that doing Interviews is a Necessary Evil when Your a Famous World Wide Acclaimed Actor. This as You may imagine is a total fucking Nightmare for the Talk Show Hosts when it came to Interviewing De Niro. On one Hand its fucking De Niro so getting the Rare Opportunity to Actually Interview someone of De Niro’s Caliber is Exciting as Hell (Not to mention a Real Career Booster). The Problem is an Interviewer’s Only Job is to get Their Guest to Open Up about Their Private Lives, Friends, Hollywood Stories/Experiences, Current Projects, Awards Etc.  which when it comes to De Niro it’s Almost Utterly Futile.

So One is left wondering exactly What the fuck is Going on and Here’s how We see it. First Off De Niro doesn’t Volunteer Jack Shit as He will Never Initiate a Conversation on His Own Volition, but that’s just the fucking Tip of the Iceberg as it were. During Interviews De Niro’s Body language often seems to be Rather Aggressive. He sits slightly Angled and Sort of Slumped down in the Seat which conveys a feeling of Disgust and Contempt for the Whole Affair. Not to Mention 90% of the Time while being Interviewed De Niro’s Face is Blank, Cold, and Emotionless (thought Once in a Blue Moon it does appear that He has a Slight Smirk). The Worst Part for the Host is De Niro answers the Simplest to the Most Profound Questions an Interviewer can think of with in One or Two Word Answers. This must fucking Terrifying for the Host Who is on Live Television with an Insanely Famous Actor that People fucking Love to Death and He Refuses to Open Up. If lets say a Host about Something that Happened on a Movie Set, and instead of Elaborating on the Subject De Niro responds with a Answer like “Yup”, “Sure”, or “That’s Right”.

         

So what the fuck is the Bottomline Here? Why is De Niro for all Intents and Purposes being such a fucking Dick over being Interview? Well We believe We have stumbled upon the Answer and the Answer is Simple as They come. You see since De Niro Hates Interviews but He Ultimately has to do Them from Time to Time SO He’s just Amusing Himself by fucking with the Host. De Niro is well aware of the Situation so Instead of Participating De Niro acts Standoffish and Stubborn. De Niro knows the Host is Freaking the fuck Out on the Inside and at Some Point more than likely Believes (Since the Interview is so Shitty) that They probably will get fucking fired. So what the fuck are We basing this Answer Upon Exactly and that’s a Great Question So We’ll tell you. We came to Our Conclusion that De Niro Amuses Himself by seriously fucking with the Host/interviewer by Observing De Niro’s Eyes.

We don’t know if it’s True that the Eyes are the Window to the Soul, But We do Know that Eyes are the fucking Narc of Human Body. If You’ve been Drinking, Getting High as a fucking Kite, or Lying Your ass off Your Eyes will Narc You out in a fucking Heartbeat. People’s Eyes also convey Their Emotions, Personality Traits, and General Health as well as Reveal a Person’s Level of Interest and Engagement. The Last thing We will say on the Topic of Biology and Eyes is that (even though We have 5 Separate Senses) We get 90% of Our information about the World Around Us Via Our Eyes. Thus De Niro’s Eyes contradict His Aggressive Body Language, Hostile Standoffishness, and Expressionless Face. During Interviews De Niro’s Eyes are the Most Active Part of His Body as  They Dart around as He Assess the Situation, and the Mental State of the Host due to Him being so fucking Uncooperative. If You watch De Niro’s Eyes during an Interview You start to Notice that He in fact Seems Delighted by the Havoc He is Creating. So win Summation De Niro hates Interviews so His Unusual Behavior is Nothing More than De Niro Entertaining Himself to get Through the Interview.

FYB Musical Monday Part 2: The Oderus Urungus Interviews

Gwar became known/is known for Their Legendary Raucous Live Show’s Full of Beheadings, Buckets of Blood, Gruesome Props, Disembowelment, Over the Top Theatrics, Insane Characters, Executions, and Gore Galore all set to Kick Ass Songs. There is no Doubt Gwar had taken Performance Art to a Whole New fucking Level the likes Humanity has Never Known.

Gwar also garnered a Great Deal of Additional Attention from Their, No Holds Barred, Politically Incorrect, Obscene, Overly Sarcastic, Ridiculously  Loud, Extremely Enthusiastic, Out Spoken, Foul Mouthed Front Man Oderus Urungus (Who’s Real Name was Dave Brockie who Tragically Died in 2014 of a Drug Overdose. Also Brockie originally was the Gwar’s Guitarist from 1984-1986 before jumping behind the Mic as Lead Singer from 1986-2014).

            

Oderus served not only as Lead Singer but did Double Duty as the Main Mouth Piece for Gwar doing a Great Majority of Interviews and Press. Oderus was the Face of Gwar and what a Face it Was. Brockie was not only a Talented Musician and  Iconic Spokes Person He was a Master of Improv constantly thinking on His Feet No Matter Where No Matter When. Oderus could wax Poetically and Absurdly about Anything and with a rather Manic Mind Set could/would jump from Subject to Subject at Will or Whim. ‘s Oderus’s Interviews took on a Life of Their Own and became almost as Notorious as Gwar’s Live Shows (granted though with a Great Deal Less Blood and Gore).

We have Featured a Good bit of Gwar here at FYB over the Years from Official Music Video’s to Concerts to Movies to even Oderus’s rendition of the Classic Children’s Book Good Night Moon. So the Next move obviously was to Track Down a Couple of Our Favorite Oderus Interviews and Showcase Them Here. GG Allin: The Profile of a Rock’N Roll Terorist

As Most of Our Readers are aware I am a HUGE GG Allin Fan I mean FYB has done 3 Pictorial Posts (with a 4th in The Works) dedicated to GG Allin and His Musical Career of Infamy.

In Addition to the Pictorials FYB also posted a Copy of GG Allin’s Legendary Song “Bit It You Scum”. I did that because No matter if I’m having one of the Greatest Days in My Life OR One of the Absolutely Shittiest Days of My Life either way if I put on GG’s “Bite It You Scum” it always makes Me Smile.

NOW Do Not get Me wrong I am NOT DEVIATING from My original Statement on the subject of GG Allin. I said I WILL NOT write a Typical or Traditional Bio Post because there’s No Point it’d just be an Exercise in Futility. What I mean to say is simply there isn’t ANYTHING I could write a Biographical Post about GG that isn’t just like all the Other Posts/Articles Out there on Google. Its all been said before so to say it now is just Regurgitating the Same Shit over, and over again.

So to Honor GG Allin and His Music just as FYB as recently done with Shitfucker and Silencer I devised the following Three (3) Video Tribute.

The FIRST video is the 1993 Cult Documentary  by then Film Student Todd Phillips (who later went on to make: Old School, Road Trip, The Hangover Trilogy, War Dogs, Borat, and More) called “Hated GG Allin and The Murder Junkies” NOT Hated in the Nation which was the GG Allin Album.

       

This Documentary follows the Life and Times of GG Allin featuring Concert Footage as well as Interviews with Family Members, Friends, Fanatical Fans, and Fellow Band Mates.

The Second Video is the 2008 Short Film Documentary by Jay McBeth called “Live Fast, Die” which is Quite Different than “Hated”. This Story is the Story of so many GG Fans because like Jay and countless others I discovered GG by complete coincidence. I was at an Indue Record Store poking around the Bins, and I stumbled across a bunch of GG Allin CDs.

       

This Documentary with a running Time of just 28 minutes and change I believe is the Better of the Two Films. “Live Fast, Die” takes a different approached to the subject of GG in it follows the Curiosity of What made GG Tick or What Made GG Allin who He Was. It’s more about the Man than His outrageous and often Illegal Live Shows or Personal Life like “Hated”.

The Third Video is one of Several Video Versions of GG Allin’s “Bite It you Scum” played Live in Concert since We already Posted the Lyrics w/ Pics.

ALRIGHT WELL FUCK TODD PHILLIPS. Todd had “Hated GG Allin and The Murder Junkies” posted on Youtube FOR FREE. I know because I watched it like 400 fucking times. ANYWAY Todd apparently now wants $1.99 for the pleasure of Watching His Film that was previously FREE.  GRANTED $2 is nothing really, BUT I WILL NOT PAY ON PRINCIPLE.

The Film was Free until Fans started making it More Popular to those outside of the GG Allin Universe, and since Todd has also had time to make Big fucking Hollywood Comedies He now seems to feel He can and will Charge $2. Again for a Film NO ONE FUCKING KNEW OF ACCEPT DIE HARD GG FANS WHO THEN MADE IT MORE POPULAR AND ARE NOW GETTING NICKLE AND DIMED OVER IT.

       

Fuck Todd Phillips personally in light of this I will say “Hated” is the only decent Film Todd Phillips had made the rest is Over Rated Recycled Hollywood Big Budget Bullshit so Fuck Him.

NOTE: Also I will be Posting an Entire Concert by GG Allin and The Murder Junkies to make up for Todd Phillips being a Greedy Hollywood Cocksucker.
