Dinner For Few

Welcome to Today’s FYB Post the Animated Short Film DINNER FOR FEW by Award Winning Director and Animator Nassos Vakalis which an Allegorical Depiction of Society. I in Particular find DINNER FOR FEW to be Interesting and Entertaining is the Social Commentary that Reminds Me of Two of My Favorite fucking Books of All fucking Time. Those Two Books Being Animal Farm by George Orwell which is a Scathing Criticism on the Flaws and Failure of Communism. The Other is the Graphic Novel MAUS by Art Spiegelman which Depicts the Author’s Interviewing His Father about His Experiences as a Holocaust Survivor. Both Books and DINNER FOR FEW rely Heavily on Symbolism which I personally enjoy the fuck Out of (Especially Using Specific Animals to Embody Different Kinds of People. Example The Rich and Powerful) those that do per Animal Farm are Depicted in all 3 Works as PIGS.

The Best Part of Symbolism and DINNER FOR FEW is it actually makes You fucking think in the fucking age of Smart Phone Zombies and Laptop Ghouls. Swear to fucking God all the shit They put Out and Dare to call Entertainment is MINDLESS FUCKING DRIVIL. The Point and Click/Touch/Swipe Technology is causing Humanity to Actually De-fucking-evolve into Retarded, Mindless, Cavemen. Think I’m being over fucking Dramatic well then Ponder the fuck Out of This. Emojis are and have Always Been the Digital Equivalent of fucking Cave Paintings (No Hieroglyphs is too Advanced at this Point to be fucking Comparable).

Our View: DINNER FOR FEW does have One Unique Aspect that Sets it Apart from the Two Aforementioned Books, and that is it Depicts the Cycle of Life in Society as Opposed to just Commenting on the Social Situation/Issue/Problem at Hand. DINNER FOR FEW reminds Me of Two Sayings that for Me go Hand in Fucking Hand and They are the Following:

  1. “The Rich get Richer and the Poor get Poorer.” This Serving as the Societal Circle of Life on the Macro Level.
  2. “Don’t Piss on My Leg and Tell Me it’s Raining.” The Day to Day Injustices in Society and Those Affected by Them on the Micro Level.

The Symbolism as We see it:

  • Pigs: Well Obviously as I mentioned before the Pigs are Symbolic of the Wealthy, Privileged, Greedy, Gluttonous, Self Serving Elitist Assholes Who Only give shit about Themselves.
  • The Chef: Stands for the System that Enables the Pigs without Question its His Only function is to Blindly Serve the Pigs.
  • The Cats: Represent Average Citizens/Every Day People aka Anyone Who isn’t a fucking Pig.
  • White Lion: Is Indicative of Revolution as the Cats Unite against the Common Enemy the Pigs and Revolt Against the Tyrant Swine. Not Only that But the Feline Uprising enables the Cats to Not Only Stand Up Against the Pigs but to Also Exact Revenge in the Form of a Brutal Blood Soaked and Murderous Massacre.
  • The Lion Sleeping: is Symbolic of Peace and in this Case the Peace is that Peace has been Restored to the Land so to Speak.
  • Chef Killing the Lion and Kittens: Represents the Cycle of a Sick Society Continues it’s Never Ending Circle where Unavoidably things will Always Remain the Same.

During dinner, “the system” feeds the few who consume all the resources while the rest survive on scraps. Inevitably, the struggle for what remains leads to catastrophic change. The offspring of this transition turns out not to be a sign of hope, but the spitting image of the parents.

Welcome to Today’s FYB Post featuring MEZLO’S TRICK by None Other Than  London Based Writer, Director, Visual Artist, and Computer Animator Ben Wheele. If You Mezlo’s Trick then You Should Check Out the Other Ben Wheele Videos We’ve Posted Previously on FYB. So Who the Fuck is the Deal with Ben Wheele?! Wheele Graduated from The Royal Collage of Art with a Masters in Animation  in 2011, and His Films have been Screened at Festivals Internationally, Including Annecy, Pictoplasma, London Intl.Animation Festival, Rotterdam Film Festival and Stuttgart ITFS. Wheele’s work has also been Exhibited at The Sunday Painter Gallery (London), Gazell.io Digital Art Space, and Broadcast on Adult Swim and Channel 4 (UK). He is also the Founder of ‘Studio Ponk’ and Currently Lectures in 3D Animation and Games at Middlesex University.

We enjoy Wheele’s work Due to the Nightmarish Knack He has for Surreal Horror Animation and Mezlo’s Trick is No Acceptation. The Video’s Crude Animation, Stark Environment, Odd Audio, Blood Splattering Absurdity, and Tale of Revenge  combines to Create 59 Seconds that Plays like the  Day Dream of a Demented Child.

Let ME Start By Saying when it comes to bringing the Bad Guys to “Justice” the Police at Best are Incompetent, and at worst as Criminal as the Bad Guys. So it’s No Wonder Why I have a Special Fondness for Vigilante Justice be it Movies, Video Games, TV, and Best of All (and Not Often Enough) in Real Life. That brings Me to FYB’s First Official Endorsement being Awarded to Australian Content Creator/YouTuber Lt. LICKME!

Now After achieving Mass Appeal a Year Ago LT.LICKME Stoped Posting and seemed to have Utterly Disappeared. At one Point LT.LICKME Tweeted that He was leaving for a while, He couldn’t actually say Why He was Leaving, and that He would be Returning sometime in the Future. Not Only that LT.LICKME also announced in the Tweet “I cannot tell you when I will return, I cannot truly tell you why I left. But know when I do return, I will not return the same.” Following that Tweet LT.LICKME changed all Their Profiles on Social Media to a Black Profile Picture. Then a Month ago the LT. announced in a Teaser Video that He’d Be Returning Sometime in July. Yesterday (August 1st 2021) LT.LICKME released the Hands Down the Best Comeback Video I have Ever Seen No Bullshit.

Short Horror Film Friday: CARNIVORE!

Welcome to FYB’s Short Horror Film Friday featuring CARNIVORE Written and Directed by Ashton Herrild.

Plot Summery::

After being Finally Exonerated for the Wrongful Conviction of the Cannibalistic Murder of His Own Mother, Levi is Released from Prison. Now a Free Man Levi Returns to His Small Hometown, where His Belligerent Older half-brother, Wade, Drags Him to the Local Restaurant for a Hamburger. While Wade, Who’s Obviously Unconvinced of His Brother’s Innocence, Rabidly Devours a Burger, the Now Vegetarian Levi notices Something Off about the rest of the Restaurant’s Patrons. Unfortunately for Levi the Community Appears to Share Bo’s are Far from Convinced of Levi’s Innocence. Levi finds Solace in Reuniting with His Best Friend from High School Bo the Restaurant’s  Current Hamburger Flipper. The Happy Reunion is Cut Short when Bo Confesses to Levi that He has been Busy Exacting His Own Dementedly Twisted Revenge upon Unwitting Towns People.

Welcome to Thursday’s Post here at FYB Showcasing the Claymation Short PUSSYCAT by Takena Nagao. The thing I really got a Kick Out of was the Ending which is Immediately reminded Me of the Ending of the Movie DEATH PROOF by Quinten Tarantino (which is One of My All Time Favorite Movies).

Plot Summery.

If You took the Fairytales The Three Little Pigs and Combined it with Little Red Riding Hood and gave it an Old School Brothers Grimm make over. PUSSYCAT comes complete with Booze, Sex, Drugs, Lust, Hostage Taking, Violence, Liberation, Revenge, Greed, Desire, Conflict, and Blood Splattered Gore.

BELIAL’S DREAM

Welcome to Today’s FYB Post Belial’s Dream (2017) Directed By Robert Morgan who also Wrote the Screen Play. Belial’s Dream was Originally a Short Film Commissioned for Arrow Films’ Blu Ray Release of Frank Henenlotter’s  Movie Basket Case.

                   

For Those Who May be Unaware Basket Case is the 1982 Cult Slasher Horror Classic Directed by Frank Henenlotter and Produced by Edgar Levins. To Sum Up Basket Case in a Nutshell Duane and His Extremely Deformed and Psychotic Conjoined Twin Be are Surgically Separated as Kids. Duane carries  Belial around NYC in a Locked Wicker Picnic Basket as the Twins seek Revenge on the Doctor’s that Separated Them. I HIGHLY Recommend You definitely should check out the movie Basket Case as it is in at Least My Humble Opinion a True Horror Classic.

                   

So When I heard of this Video I was instantly interested because I love Fan Fiction Projects. It’s Insanely Entertaining seeing People’s Interpretations come to Life and become an Extenuation of the Movie Itself. Thusly when I saw the Title of the Video the first thing I thought to myself was that’s a Kickass Concept, and I wonder what a Creature as Demented and Deadly as Belial actually Dreams About? Could Belial dreaming of  Rainbows and Bunny Rabbits during His Psychotic Slumber? Yeah I don’t fucking Think So.

Welcome to this Week’s Saturday Slasher Cinema featuring the Original 1980 Canadian Slasher Cult Classic Prom Night Directed by Paul Lynch, Written by William Gray and Starring Jamie Lee Curtis Leslie Nielsen. Over the Year Prom Night has Gained a Substantial Cult Following, and is Not Only for its Horror Content but also for its Disco Heavy Soundtrack. Additional Some Film Scholars have Cited Prom Night as one of the Most Influential Slasher Films of the Period.

                   

Premise: 

Six Years Ago, when Young Robin Hammond was being Teased and Bullied by Four of Her Classmates when She Accidentally falls out of a Second Story Window to Her Death. Her Classmates Vow to Keep Their Involvement in the Tragedy a Secret that No One would Ever Know About. Unbeknownst to them at the Time there was Someone Else there that Fateful Day Observing the Classmates Who Saw it All. Now High School Students the Teens are Preparing for Their Prom and a Night of Wild Parting. Unfortunately for the Teens the Unknown Observer has Returned, and is a Blood Thirsty Psychotic Serial Killer Out for a Violent Revenge. Can the Teens Keep Their Dark Secret and Survive or is the Prom Destined to be Their Last Dance?

Saturday Slasher Cinema: THE DRILLER KILLER

Welcome to this Week’s Installment of Saturday Slasher Cinema featuring the 1979 Black Comedy Slasher Film Directed by Abel Ferrara and Starring Ferrara credited as Jimmy Laine. Ferrara  is an American Filmmaker , known for the PROVOCATIVE and often CONTROVERSIAL Content in His Movies, His use of Neo-Noir Imagery and Gritty Urban Settings.

                   

The Plot concerns Reno Miller, a Struggling Artist in New York City, being Driven Insane from Stress and Killing Derelicts with a Power Drill. When the Movie was Released on Video Cassette in 1982, its Graphic Packaging drew Complaints which landed the Release on a List of “Video Nasties” that were BANNED IN THE UNITED KINGDOM under the Video Recording Act.

Video Nasty is a Colloquial Term in the United Kingdom to Refer to a Number of Movies, Typically Low Budget Horror and Exploitation Films, distributed on Video Cassette that were Criticized for Their Violent Content by the Press/Media, Social Commentators, and Various Religious Organizations.

                   

Synopsis: Starving New York Artist Reno Miller is  Struggling to Pay His Bills, while Obsessed with Painting His Masterpiece (which He hopes to Sell to Art Dealer and Gallery Owner Dalton for Rent Money), and Caring for His two Roommates Carol the Divorced BiSexual and Her Drug Addicted Girlfriend Pamela. When the New Wave Punk Band Tony Coca-Cola and The Roosters move into Reno’s Building Playing Music Nonstop Day and Night, Reno can’t Sleep and is Slowly Driven Insane. As Reno Descends into Madness He takes to Stalking  the Streets of the City after Dark, and Gruesomely Killing Homeless Derelicts with a Power Drill.

Saturday Slasher Cinema: The Burning

Welcome to this Week’s Edition of Saturday Slasher Cinema Featuring the 1981 Slasher Cult Classic The Burning Directed By Tony Maylam. The Movie is Based on a New York Urban Legend of the Cropsey Maniac, and is the Debut of Actor Jason Alexander as well as  Actress Holly Hunter. The Musical Score for the Film was Composed by Rick Wakeman of the Progressive Rock Band Yes. The Special Effects are Courtesy of Effects Legend Tom Savini who turned Down Working on Friday the 13th Part 2 to work on The Burning.

(NOTE: Before Any Wise Ass has a Chance to Mention it Harvey Weinstein was involved in this Movie, but I refuse to give Him ANY Credit for Anything Ever. The Only Thing Harvey Weinstein should be Remembered for is being a Pedophile, Child Molester, and Serial Rapist Who will Die Rotting in Prison.)

                   

Plot:

At a Camp Blackfoot, Some of the Teenagers pull a Prank on The Camp’s Sadistic and Alcoholic Caretaker, Cropsey (as They feel it is necessary to ‘Get Him Back”). The Prank though goes Horrifically Wrong when They Teens accidentally Set Cropsey on Fire and Leave Him for Dead. Five Long Torturous Years Later, the Demented and Deformed  Cropsey is Discharged from the Hospital, and Returns to the Camp Equipped with a Pair of Rusty Sheers, Ready to Unleash His Particular Brand of Vengeance on Those Responsible for His Gruesome Disfigurement. Can Anyone Stop the Murderous Cropsey’s Killing Spree before He Transforms Camp Blackfoot into Blackfoot Graveyard or Are The Campers Destined to Die One By One in the Woods?

Short Film Friday: Eel Girl

Hello and Welcome to Another Installment of FYB’s Short Horror Film Friday Featuring 2008 Sci Fi Horror Short Eel Girl Written and Directed by New Zealand’s Own Paul Campion. Eel Girl is a 5 Minute and 19 Second Film Designed to be Disturbing, Controversial, and  Beautiful while Peaking People’s Interest by Word of Mouth. The Film’s Special Makeup Effects were Created by World Renowned Weta Workshop (For Example 45 Gallons of Black Methocyl better known as KY Jelly were Created to Fill the Bathtub).

                  

Now I sure More Than One Person Reading this has Immediately thought of or Drawn Parallels Between Eel Girl and the Drama Thriller The Shape of Water Directed by Guillermo del Toro. The Movie is the Story of a Mute Cleaning Lady who falls in Love with a Governmental Laboratory’s Classified Secret a Humanoid Fish Man from South America. Basically it’s Romeo and Juliet meets The Creature From The  Lagoon Love Story.

NOW HERE IS THE POINT Eel Girl was Released in 2008 a Full NINE YEARS BEFORE The Shape of Water so No Eel Girl IS NOT COPYING The Shape of Water if Anything its the Other Way Around.

                   

Synopsis/Plot:Eel Girl takes Place in Deep in the Bowels of a Secret Naval Research Facility. One of the Research Scientist has become Absolutely Obsessed with the Half-Human Held-Eel Creature He’s Studying. When She beckons Him to Her, It’s the Sinister Call of a Siren…..For Eel Girl isn’t looking for Love She’s Looking for Revenge!
